A bit out of town but well worth the drive. The food is amazing, local beer and cider all a must try. There is a pool table and good music. They even have a jam sessions. Would recommend

Lovely accommodation and nice comfort food. We stayed over for one night and it was a very comfortable experience. The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We both ordered the ribs for dinner. The kitchen closes at 20h00. I would definitely stay here again

Comfortable and clean accommodation. Ideal location for Hokitika gorge and tree tops experience. Take provisions for breakfast. Tea, coffee and milk provided. Kettle, microwave and fridge. Pub does great food see my other review.

Drove out for the Sunday Roast, was not disappointed, choice of lamb or pork. Well priced. The Hokitika and district music club have a jam session every Sunday, didn't stick around

We spend the night in our self-contained car behind their pub. They are friendly towards backpackers, and they left the toilets open at night! Very nice people and good beer!

Unfortunately haven’t had good experiences here, menu has great potential but the food is extremely underwhelming. Would go back for a beer on a nice day but not to eat. This place has massive potential to be great but just misses the mark.

Great people, great beer (they brew their own, and do it well!), and a pretty good view from the deck outside the bar! Room was good for the price too.

After earlier being in the establishment for a quiet beverage, I returned with a friend and my service dog. However I was told by a local to get the dog out (my service dog wears a vest with service dog in reflective material). After pointing out he is a service dog which I only need to do to staff the local then returned to his conversation not willing to admit the error. The owner and his wife then apologised whilst the entertainment person was telling both my friend and I to fack off. The owner then sat down with the patron that had told me to get my dog out and drink with him. The law is clear and very precise with regards to this. Not a place I would ever recomend to go to unless you are desperate. If you have a service dog I wouldn't ever go there again.

Had dinner at the Woodstock. With 2 in the group suffering from coeliac disease, the menu was a vertable wonderland of choices. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Recommend X 10
