What a magical spot to stop on SH12 - we came from Rawene heading south. Stunning gardens with yummy home baking amongst a gorgeous garden - we sat out under the umbrellas amongst the flowers on a stinking hot day. . Lovely hosts. High class gift n housewares store too. Had a poke around the cabins for rent - think we will be back to stay!!! Loved the common room and sweet cabins. Just a gem of a place!!!

Gorgeous cafe and gardens. We popped in for a coffee and cake and were absolutely enchanted by the gardens! Like getting lost in a secret garden. Cakes were delicious and coffee was just perfect. Lovely reception from the owners who were happy to let us wonder through the gardens and their cottages for rent. Thanks for the hospitality! We will be back 😃

Bruce and his wife greet you like long lost friends and make your stay unforgettable with a wonderful cabin fully equipped and super comfortable. Try the coffee and cake too! The shared cooking facilities and great and the bathrooms are super. They have made their garden surrounding the cabin a haven for wildlife and you can sit on your balcony and enjoy the good life.

What an amazing place! Both hosts welcomed us showed us around and showed us the beauty of this place. Everything is new in amazing conditions and there’s also a cat ❤️ If guests are staying the café is open at 7, and it’s just great service! even with a vegan option 🌱 Would super extra recommend!

Beautiful stay here! The cabin was delightful, quaint with luxurious fittings and soo comfortable. The shared kitchen is everything you'd want and so thoughtfully laid out and decorated, perfect! It has a coffee shop for that essential morning brew!! (excellent coffee by the way) Bruce and Teresa made us feel very welcome, nothing was a bother. Thanks guys, we wish you every success!! The best experience. We were welcomed with open arms. Felt the Aroha from the start. It was honestly a home away from home. everything was available for us. The location is everything. The best part of this trip was being able to eat together as a whanau. We haven't done that in a long time. Then chilled and watch movies while talking about the good old days. Thank you so much Bruce and Teresa ☺️ we are so grateful ❤️
This place is a true gem of tranquility. So lovely and the gardens are a sight to behold. Delicious cafe home baked cakes and scones.
Highly recommended coffee and cake stop, before or after your Waipoua forest drive. Peaceful, flower filled setting, attentive staff, great coffee, homemade cakes.

The welcome was so friendly, the people were awesome! We loved the first night we booked a second. The cleanliness was outstanding and felt like a home stay :) The kitchen, showers and toilets were immaculate and the beds were spacious with option for bedding for only $5! They treat you like family and would 100% recommend as it’s affordable and one of the best places to stay in the north island!!!!
I really enjoyed this. Run by a lovely and helpful couple, this place was a very pleasant surprise. Will stop again
