The new owners have made this spot great. New windows and doors make the place look more modern and up to par with bars in and around the Houston area. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the grumpy bartender. No, hello, no welcome, just "what do you want " food was good despite the cold fries. Other than that, we enjoyed our time while there. Great place to stop by and have a beer and burger. Laid back with a country type atmosphere. The staff was very attentive, food was good, and beer was ice cold. Love this authentic roadside grill. Excellent small menu and relaxing atmosphere. True Texas spot to grab a beer with friends and a hearty meal too.

This was a great place to hang out. Burgers, chicken strips as we as the grilled fish were all good. Bartenders and waitresses were friendly and prompt taking and delivering you food and drink orders. Had a good band playing during the evening. This place is wonderful. Small town friendly atmosphere. Wednesday are steak night $25 a plate. The steaks are big and juciy loaded baked potato, green beans and a role. The steak had great flavor with gristle(which I ate also). It was all very flavorful and as you can see in the pictures I ate everything. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

What a great ice house bar! Great patio, great inside with pool and shuffleboard, lots of TVs... burgers and bar food that taste like a backyard bbq.
