This was my first visit to this store. It was before a national holiday, so the parking lot and the store were quite crowded. The store was clean and the shelves were very neat and tidy, so it was easy to find what I was looking for. There were plenty of self-checkout machines, so I was able to pay my bill relatively smoothly.
I hate shopping here. The store feels dirty and they only have one or two checkout lanes open. I stood in line for twenty five minutes waiting to check out. There's a lot of waiting, especially if what you want is locked up in a case. The cashier was nice, but demanded ID before she let me buy a case of water.
Pickup is terrible. Always out of multiple things and their "best matches" on things are definitely not the best! Their substitutions are always a downgrade from the item you asked for and if you ask for a multipack that they are out of, you'll be paying more for the same amount in single packs. I worked for Walmart Pickup before in a different city and I know how it's supposed to work... I'm definitely NOT impressed.

This is the worst place to shop in all of Salina. As a resident of Salina I would highly avoid this place if at all possible. They put the slowest people they have on only two or 3 registers. They take so long you’re better off taking your whole shopping cart to the self checkout. And that’s a joke too. They have one person running 10-20 registers which are mostly full all the time. Bathrooms are worse than truck stop bathrooms. Highly suggest shopping somewhere else.

Avoid this place as much as possible. If I really don't need to go out here I don't. I always seem to get lucky and have to deal with volatile employees here. Door greeter name Roger Bennett always makes me uncomfortable with his sexual remarks. Wish they would get rid of him. Sorry
I was in tonight to get a new battery for my son truck. The employee in automotive department told us that they could take care of the core battery at checkout, since the auto center was closed. We found the battery and paid for it at front checkout. The cashier told us she didn't know what to do with the core, take it to customer service desk. The lady at customer service said they can only do core exchanges at the automotive department. Out of the four sentences I tried to say she interrupted me every time. She was every rude. I feel that she just didn't want to help us because we have done battery exchanges at customer service before. When I told her she might want to let the people in automotive know so they don't misinform the customer she just gave me a dirty look. I can't believe how rude she was.
Not the best at all, and not the worst either. The store seems to have a bunch of workers that don't really care about the customers or the questions they receive. And finding what your wanting isn't as easy as it should be. Always out of major things and it takes them awhile to get it back in stock and out on the shelves again. But not much of any other places to shop in this city. COVID took it out of many places of business and it's not been back to normal since.
I applied at Walmart and called them to show interest a few days later. They set up the interview on friday and I go to the interview. The main hiring manager said she would be having knee surgery that Sunday so she would be gone. I call for straight two weeks reminding them I had a Interview and asking them if they were interested in hiring me. In the interview they said I was a good candidate because I had previous experience with cashier and self checkout at dillions. Mind you I'm a very hard working person so I'd probably do more if they wanted me to. They only reply way later saying I need to fill out a minor consent form. I'm 19 years old. That is ridiculous because I remind them a few times that I'm not a minor and I fixed my age information on my application on Walmart Jobs Website. Also they call even later when I've given up calling them after those weeks to ask me if I want to do a Interview like I never did at all. So that just made me mad. They gave me a email today saying I'm not qualified which is fine with me a found a job that pays more then what they were offering. Basically I just wanted to say that if Walmart had better hiring management they would not lose good people to work for them.
I feel like this store was not straightened up as it should have been. Not sure if they are short of workers or just to busy to get stuff out of boxes and on shelves. I also feel walmarts have not enough checkers and self check is a joke. But I saw numerous employees talking and walking around which leads me to believe management is not watching close enough. Walmart has gone down hill to what it should be with as much as they take in.
This store has excellent customer service! Today Ira greeted me when l walked in the store. He then went out of his way to assist my disability. This began my shopping experience with a positive friendly atmosphere. I truly hate shopping and didn't used to frequent this store except every 3 to 5 years max. Regardless of what lm looking for when Carol works she will assist regardless of the department l'm shopping. She is amazing and has memorized where stock is located. She's also excellent at sales!!! It's nice to have an associate foresee other items needed to complete a project. It increases sales and saves me a trip right back. I am more likely to buy additional stock item's with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Karen also l greets me weather She's on the clock or doing personal shopping. Too many other people to mention but would highly recommend this store for all your shopping needs!
