Pork burger with tuhau was very tasty. Love their fries dip. Sedap oh. Also tried their ikan bakar, boleh tahan. But their specialty is pork lah. So, would try other pork dishes next time. Two thumbs up!

Nice and pleasant environment to enjoy a platter of BBQ wild boar meat. We tried the Lihing too (local rice wine) which taste a little like sweet plum wine.

Pork Ribs
As a tourist, the curry wild boar , satay, and smoked pork belly is unique and tasty.
We ordered four dishes, eventually can't finish all. The price is reasonable also. Good recommendation for tourists.
Overall it is Decently valued, satisfying portion, with high tech tablet that shows clean & precise menu. Friendly service pair with pig like cooking times, Vogs food is hard to swallow as it taste like typical burnt pork with all the wrong seasoning. Their chilli's sauce are overpowered and downward garbage. Else, it is still an Ideal place for alcoholic maniac to indulge in some sort of dirty pleasure from time to time. Will definitely return if scenario ignites....

Nasi Sinalau Bakas
Back in Kota Kinabalu, I still could not forget the taste of Sinalau Bakas. After the flip car experience on Sinalau Bakas on my way back from Kundasang, I relate this matter to my good friend, Mirina, and she suggested that I tried this restaurant instead.
VOGS is located in Penampang area, about 10km from our hotel in KK. Since I wanted to taste good Sinalau Bakas, I brought them here on the second evening of the total 3 nights stay in the capital city of Sabah. I have to thank Waze for this... reaching this restaurant was a breeze despite slight jam in the city centre (as always). This place is operated by the native people of Sabah.
◾Sup Tulang Sinalau - something that you would not get along the Tamparuli-Kundasang route. Similar to the Chinese style using the big pork bone to bring out the flavour of the wild boar soup but with their own twist.
◾VOGS Kon Lau Mian that comes with siew yuk - the princesses opted for noodle instead of rice and the portion was a big one that could easily feed 2 small eater.
◾VOGS Combo - available in platter for 2, 4 or 6 pax.. it rough translated to Small, Medium and Large size platter! Choose 4 type of meat (bakas, pork or chicken) - I went all out for wild boar.. BBQ Sinalau Bakas; Satay Bakas; Char Siew BBQ Bakas + one regular roasted pork belly. Just turn the carnivorous mode on and chomped the meat away.
Other dishes in the menu that got my attention include burger Bakas and Bakas ribs. Overall a satisfying meal with the friendly owner checking to see if everything was alright.
One of the best porky foods I have tried in Malaysia. The platter is very delicious with 5 types of porky food, including the original sinalau bakas (its bbq pork). The satay sauce for pork satay was very delicious, and the pork rib was so well done that the meat would fall off the bone. And their chilli sauce is a great addition to the flavours. Friendly staff, nice place and great food, that's 5 stars for me.

Had the classic pork burger (ala carte). It was okay, the patty was a bit grainy but the taste is good enough to satisfy my pork burger craving LOL. Would come again to try their other dishes though, they look good on the menu

Ups:
-well cooked wild boar meat (or bakas) done as Asian dishes such as bakas satay, kicap bakas and curry bakas! Rice or noodles, fried or soup wirh Bakas/pork. western styles include bakas burger, ribs, and even tortilla wraps if you're looking for something healthier
-happy hour til 9pm for beers
-other miscellaneous items like chicken wings, ikan baulu set, salted yolk bittergourd
Downs:
-long waiting time even tho shop not crowded (best to order before hand)
1. Friendly waiters. Fast service . Food came out after 15 minutes of waiting.
2. A little hot because we went there at 3pm but was bearable as the dining area was an open space.
3. Sinalau bakas was good! 4 of us had the mixed grilled plate for RM36. Quite worth it.
4. Plus points as the restaurant was near the airport. Only 10 minutes away. A good meal to start or end the trip!
