Ricardo the waiter looked after me splendidly. It’s a lovely spot, charming inside and tremendous food and wine. I enjoyed the appetizers on the table and then the wild boar and chestnuts. Was recommended to come here by my hotel and is well worth a visit. Small and intimate restaurant. Great food - i had ham and quail eggs starter, then Wild Boar with chestnuts. Good local red wine. Service was good but a little slow in bringing my change, did they think i would leave it all as a tip? We came across this place by accident but it was the most fortunate of coincidences. If you ever come to the Evora area, come here. No excuses ;) The restaurant was fully booked but our waiter (Ricardo) was absolutely amazing and rearranged the tables so we would have a place to sit. His wine recommendation was more than spot on and the food was absolutely AMAZING. No joke. ‘I’ll come back here for a weekend meal’ - kind of amazing. Family spot, true to their food, and home cooked traditional (delicious!) dishes. We tried a few plates but what stood out was cod with onions and potatoes, their home made sweet peppers, and (believe it not) veal stale cubes for kids portions were great! Great restaurant with good food. Small, intimate, very hospitable. The melted cheese appetizer was delicious. The lamb chops with mint were also great. But the veal steak cooked on hot stone was a show stopper. the food here is amazing! so much so we wanted to repeat and made reservations to return the next day, something we never do on vacation ! Ricardo is very helpful and all his suggestions were perfect. the local wine we had ( on his recommendation ) was the best we have had in this region. Price per person €45–50

Seriously good choice for diner, but found the 4,6 slightly overrated. Liked the cosy setting and yes, you may make a selection from the appetizers you will find on the table before you are seated and send the others back. Enjoyed a good bottle of wine!
