I recently had the pleasure of dining at Un Altra Storia Italian Cafe in Jambiani again, and this time I just had to review the guys!
This cozy little café, run by the talented chef Valentina, brings the finest flavors of Italian pastry and cuisine to the island.
The moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Hassan and Maya, who work at the café, have an incredible knack for making every guest feel welcomed with their genuine "Karibu" greetings. Their patience and hospitality truly go a long way in creating a memorable dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food! Un Altra Storia serves some of the best Italian cuisine on the entire island, catering to both expats and tourists alike.
Valentina's passion for her craft shines through in every dish she prepares. With a help of pizzeria chef William from the delectable pastries to the mouthwatering pasta and pizzas, each bite is bursting with authentic flavors that transport you straight to Italy.
What impressed me even more is the consistency in the quality of the food. Every dish I tried was prepared with great attention to detail and showcased the finest ingredients. It's no wonder that this café has become a regular hotspot for both locals and tourists. In fact, I was astonished to learn that nearly every third person living on the island is a regular customer here.
Un Altra Storia Italian Cafe has truly become a gem in Jambiani, offering an exceptional dining experience that satisfies even the most discerning palates. Whether you're craving a delicious morning pastry or a delightful evening meal, this café is a must-visit.

Our family loves the pizza by the slice and the sandwich triangles. The prices are really reasonable, but the kicker is the tastes. Yum. Takes us back to Italy or as good as it gets in Zanzibar.
The best bakery on Zanzibar! And very very reasonable prices. Always fresh products and very tasty. Especially the fresh donuts, croissants and toasted triangles are great!!
Such a beautiful new place alongside the mainroad in Jambiani. All the pastry I tasted so far (quite some) are so delicious and the pizza is good too. Happy to have a good pastry bakery in Zanzibar. We’ll keep coming
One of the best bakerys on the island and easely accessible from the main road. The staff is very friendly and attentive! Our son loved the carrot cake and the pizza. See you soon... 😎
