This little Family Restaurant is amazing! We enjoyed the food every evening we were staying in this area. Damith organized Birthday decoration, flowers, a birthday cake and his whole family sang Happy Birthday! The food was so delicious, especially the food plates where you can try a bit from everything and decide on the way it should be cooked. Great local family restaurant. Not only great food (and we went 4 times to try many dishes) but an amazing family. U-Point is a family owned restaurant which is specialized on sea food and … honestly … it has been the best food we had in the first ten days of our Sri Lanka journey. If you are looking for authentic Sri Lankan food close to one of the Resorts near by - look no further. Mom is the head chef, Dads a fisherman, Damith is running the service and catering to other touristic needs.. wonderful experience, among the best restaurants we ate at during 3 stays on Sri Lanka. Choose the seafood, however the Chicken is also surprisingly good. We came here for dinner and loved everything about it. The food and the service were amazing. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared by the mom. If you go here please order the fresh fish and the prawn curry - you will not regret it! Also the Rotti was still hot when it arrived at the table. Delicious, always fresh sea food, the best that we tried in Sri Lanka. We asked for tempura calamari which were not in the menu, and we got it made special for us! Great atmosphere, host is super helpful, you can make laundry here, rent tuk-tuk, book a transfer to the airport or ask about some tips for sightseeing. Definitely recommend! A very relaxing atmosphere and highly recommended for people who want to spend their late evening with family or friends. Excellent dining experience.
