Went 2x for the 2 nights we were in Madinah from Riyadh.
First we had Nasi Kandar daging.
Next dinner we had Tomyam Campur and Tilapia Goreng 3 rasa.
Our verdict, truly Malaysian cooking.
The tomyam, the masak 3 rasa (sweet spicy sour), the sambal, and the fried fish.
For locals looking to taste Malaysian cooking is highly recommended.

This place is a hidden Gem and it should be known to everyone.
I walked in and sat down and there were 2 niqabi sisters working as waitresses and one of them came up to me instantly and gave me the menu.
I had a little pree of the pictures and reviews beforehand so I knew what I was getting.
I got the rice with chicken curry and beef curry. The beef curry was absolutely phenomenal, bursting with flavour, the sauce of the beef poured over the rice mixed in with the veggies and aubergine = DIVINE. I knew this was the spot to come to as soon as I ate the beef. The chicken curry was very good, I only wish it was spicier. The chicken "drumstick" I ordered was the most moist and juiciest chicken I've ever had from a Malaysian place.
The waitresses were very friendly and very informative. They checked up on me and tried to accommodate my needs like when I asked for more curry sauce and sambal, she had no problems and told the chef my specifics.
The ice tea was nice but could've been a tad bit sweeter. Nice clean place, im surprised not many people have visited this place. It should have lines and queues out of the door. This is a legit Malaysian place with authentic food. Nice and quiet. Family friendly too.
How do I know this place was special and the place to hit? The food was being cooked fresh and it didn't come out instantly. Chef did his magic and trust me, I think everyone should visit this restaurant and eat as much as they can.
I'm a big eater and I paid 58sr for this much food. I was full to the brim. I walked it to Masjid Quba straight after, yes all the way to Masjid Quba because I was full with this phenomenal food. I had to walk/burn it off.

I have taken late afternoon lunch here,... disappointed with the nasi lemak, the sambal looks like only 1 spoon they put and its not spicy at all...my nasi still white looks like im just eating nasi berlauk.
the ayam goreng berempah over cook, its not soft as usually i eat in Malaysia....and there is only 3 small pieces of cucumber...small pieces....oh, really not in my mood....
Nasi kandar, with they're daging also hard to chew...and the okra, oh my god..its not cook!! Still fresh looks like just buy from market, vlean it and put on my in the meal.. not cook at all....
By the way, if you really miss to eat Malaysian food you may come here just to try it....but there is not too much choices food you can found here...

Such a clean restaurant, all the chefs had their heads covered and had gloves on. The food presentation was lovely. My family and I highly recommend their nasi kandar, ayam paprik and mihun sup. MUST HAVE THEIR SAMBAL BELACAN 💯

تجربتي في هذا المطعم الماليزي كانت رائعة بكل المقاييس! لقد استمتعت بتذوق أطباق المطبخ الماليزي الأصيلة، حيث كانت النكهات غنية ومميزة.

New Restoran Melayu in Madinah. Chef said slightly about 2 months in operation. Our mutawwif from TRIPZ HR Holiday suggested to have our dinner here after our journey from Mekah via Haramain Train.

A lovely authentic Malaysian restaurant run by a welcoming Malay family. The food was delicious and they introduced us to some tasty iced drinks. Very reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere. They even tailor made a vegetarian dish for me. Thanks for the warm welcome!
