Tubby’s has been a place to frequent in Fredricksburg for their tacos. The tacos were recently taken off the menu. I ordered a burger. It was delivered cold and raw. When the waitress checked in on us, we told her that the burgers were too raw. She sent them back to the kitchen. The second time around they were delicious.

Tubby’s has been a restaurant that we frequent when in Fredricksburg. We were disappointed that tacos are no longer on their menu. My husband and I ordered the burger. It was delivered cold and raw. When we informed the waitress, she apologized and said it would be fixed. It was. The second burger we received was delicious!

We had the Tubby Burger and I mean to tell you it was hands down delicious! I especially liked the onion jam that they used on the burger - YUM! The shoestring fries were perfect. The waitress was helpful and the service quick.

Tubby's Burger
A local young lady recommended Tubby's when we asked for the best burger place in town. My husband and I both had the Bacon Dream Burger with fries. It was one of the best burgers we've had! We sat out back and had the area to ourselves. The hibiscus mint aqua Fresca which was a refreshing and different nonalcoholic drink. The bartender and waitress were very friendly and the service was good. Definitely would be a favorite if we were local. Give it a try!

Very disappointed to return to Tubby’s and they are no longer serving their tacos. Started here many moons ago and the Frose’ was amazing… still is, but the pricing is astronomical. I paid $18.00 for a “large” Frose’ to get a 1/4 full of a small wine glass. Burger was good, a bit overcooked. We would rather have their tacos especially the Yucatán Chicken tacos. I feel like quality vs quantity is very distorted. Are you wanting to turn this into a frat house? Tubby’s has definitely lost its charm over the years. $18.00. Large. Frose. Outrageous.

After a morning of checking out the museum, we wanted somewhere quick to stop in and get a bite to eat. My husband and I both got sandwiches that were a little different than what we would normally get, and both sandwiches were good, and so were the fries. My husband asked for hot sauce, expecting tabasco sauce or Frank's. What they brought out wasn't either of them. I think it's a house made hot sauce? Whatever it was, it was delicious. My husband loved it!
The food and service were good. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because it wasn't anything all that special for the price. It's not a place I have to go back to if I'm ever in the area again. I realize it's a tourist area, so things are going to be more expensive, but the sandwiches were $13-$15 each for the ones we got, fries are not included, so it ends up being close to $20 for a sandwich and fries. Add in drinks and it was probably the most expensive meal we had all week!

Disappointing last visit. Have been several times in the past and had great tacos and beyond burger. This time a few days ago the tacos are off the menu, the beyond burger listed still on the menu for $17 was a mashed patty veggie burger which is no where near as tasty and should not be any near $17. Staff were apologetic and service good, but food has gone way down. Doubt we’ll visit again. Unfortunate because this was a favorite place

2022 The pork stuffed French fries are incredible!! Thanks for accommodating our wedding party!!! 2024 they have changed their menu and the portion for the pork stuffed French fries is half and they changed the slaw mix. Big disappointment and probably will not return....Service was good and beer was cold!!!

Very cute place for casual dining. My spouse had an excellent chopped salad while I had an exemplary Bleu cheese and mushroom burger, with French fries. We washed our food down with an amazing fresh brewed peach iced tea. We were very pleased with everything at Tubby's.
