If hungry, come here for perfectly cooked ribs, prime rib roast and lobster stew. You can always try tasty biscuits at this restaurant. As a lot of reviewers state, beer is really good. Village Inn is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Most people suppose that the dishes have attractive prices. You will definitely like the pretty atmosphere and nice decor. As for the Google rating, this place earned 4.

I took my son here on his 21st birthday, my waitress Heather was awesome and went above and beyond for our service and my son's 21st birthday. She brought him ice cream with a candle. Very nice place to eat, very polite waitress Heather. Thank you a great visit and experience. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This is an older, local seafood restaurant with a bar. If you want some local food and service, that's what you'll find. Brussel sprouts app was good but a bit small, fisherman's platter was good sized, comes with the smaller shrimp and medium sized scallops (sea, not bay), healthy serving of fried clams, pick your breading type (with bellies, but you can order the fake ones too). Lobster roll is reasonably priced but not the ginormous type. O rings, chowder, steak tips, steamers, etc.. Then see the rest of the menu, says they have prime rib - I'd return if there wasn't a big wait (which I'm guessing there could be in-season or on wrekends). Wait staff was friendly enough, bar had some locals, wasn't busy mid-week, dining room breaks down as soon as it can. Wife and I had lunch with two other couples last Sunday at 2:00. Was not busy with a few other people there. Waitresses took good care of us and the seafood platters seemed ample. Food was good. We were not rushed and was able to sit and talk after eating. The only complaint was the menu prices online need to be updated to reflect the actual higher prices on menus at the restaurant. So disappointing, def not the same place it was years ago. All of our food came out at the same time, including appetizer, waitress said the kitchen made the appetizer last instead of first.... so the chicken tenders I ordered were stiff, super dry, and barely warm, French fries tasted stale and not hot at all, calamari was rubbery and barely fried, some pieces were burnt to a crisp, some had raw spots still and some pieces had no breading at all. The stuffed haddock wasn't too bad but was also Luke warm. For an "upscale" restaurant that has been a staple in this community, If this is the quality they are putting out for the incredibly high prices I think it's time to retire the business. What's even sadder is that NO ONE that works there seems to care at all. Where is the owner, where is the manager? Where is the heart that used to run this place and actually gave a cr** about the food they put out and the patrons being served. It's really mind blowing the fall this place has taken. It was truly loved by the entire community at one time. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50

Growing up the Village Inn was one of the best places to get seafood, unfortunately the 80’s are gone and so is the satisfaction of this restaurant, although the atmosphere is exactly the same. My daughter and I decided to have a late lunch here and ugh, from the tiny serving of calamari to the curdled cream in the lobster stew, the appetizer round left much to be desired. Moving on to our meals, again with the small portions but the lack of flavor in the dishes had my daughter shifting her food around (she had the haddock with mashed potatoes) not wanting to admit it was terrible because she had been the one who suggested we eat here, but, after a few minutes and my not eating as well she says, I’m a little disappointed and I agreed. I had the scallops and whole bellied clams, I sent the clams back because they were burnt and asked for our check. $70 are what these substandard meals cost, we went home and ate, so disappointed and will not be going here again.

Menu is smaller than it used to be. However, food is still very good. I happen like the backed stuffed haddock and the chowder is good to. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Fish and Chips
Ordered from the online menu. Fried clam dinner $24. Arrived and was charged $36. Was shocked. Highest price in town. Recommended they update the online prices. Batter was semi raw. Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Fish and Chips
I had a lobster roll which was a total disappointment! Was made on a squished, toasted hamburger bun, very small amount of lobster, swimming in vinegary mayo! Terrible! My husband had a seafood platter, small amount of seafood for a platter and the price. Very disappointing! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
