My best gastronomic experience in Myanmar! And it happened to be one of the cheapest ones as well. At a lovely setting with views of pagodas, beautiful at sun light during the day and gorgeous when illuminated at night. The food was fenomenal. If I could I would hire the chef to be my private cook home in New York. The owner is a travel guide and he speaks fantastic English, had I known I would had booked him to be my guide. Most of local guides have basic English.

The Village House is a true gem in Burma. Naing Lin, made us feel very welcome and truly cares about being a wonderful host, and the freshness and flavour of the food was wonderful. The attention to detail in the venue was wonderful, all the greenery and the care on the plants and garden was beautiful to see. It was a true oasis, in a long day of scooter driving and temple spotting. A true gem and one of my fondest memories of Myanmar.

Best restaurant we had in the whole Bagan area during the week. The food was way better than the busy restaurants in NyaungU, although a bit further away from the city, this is the place to go if you have a chance to stop by this small village. The atmosphere is wonderful. Food, view, quiet place, superb service in the place all contributes to a 5 star restaurant. Definitely worth coming again and again.

This place is a hidden gem. The owner is very friendly. Peace and quiet. For those who want peace, I recommend. But you are very hungry, you should not come here. You have to wait for a little long. Because their style is more likely as fine dining. If you can wait, it is perfect. Cuisine is great. They give free water. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nice view with nice lunch. Tomato salad was nice with nuts topping. And deep fried vegetable looks fried with clean oil. Many place old black oil but this place was good. And variety kind of vege. Thanks for ur place

We selected this place for lunch mid way through our long bicycle ride, and we really happy we did. The food is excellent, the menu has a mix of Burmese, Thai & Chinese food. Our Burmese curry and ginger salad were delicious! Loved my ginger hot tea also. The staff and service was excellent; spoke good English. We enjoyed the conversation with the owner. The quality of the restaurant itself was good. The outlook across the grass to some nearby stupas is relaxing and interesting. This is a rare find - not overrun by tourists, and with excellent food.

Great staff, great view, great food and staff very friendly. We asked where we can get some cigarettes but one of the staff gave us 2 cigarettes for free. By best food experience in bagan. (They have mutton :) )

Our tour guide took us to this place to eat! It was amazing first for the Perfect view!!! Next the service and Food were extremely good!!! And the price was really good also... Really recommend!!!

Hidden gem with temple view! Come here for a break from the heat and just enjoy a peaceful and delicious snack or dinner. Lin, the owner is very nice and also hosts a private temple view dinner.

You will get stunning temple view dinning here, anyone who wants to eat at a peace, quiet, romantic dinner then this is for you. It is being a family run business it will take a little long for your food waiting time but the taste is great (worth waiting indeed).
