We enjoyed lunch at De Meye very much. Lee, Paul and team thank you very much for your hospitality. Taste wise it was one of the best experiences we had in South Africa. I won't go into details and let pictures speak for themselves. One detail I would like to mention though is the iced coffee with honey which is excellently executed. Service was very attentive and friendly. We learned about the sourcing and culinary concept of the estate which translated well in seasonal down to earth dishes. Dishes therefore change on a regular basis every week accompanying best products currently available from local producers and appealing to the chef. Perfect location even for larger groups especially with kids. The venue is mostly fully booked weeks ahead. So it is advised to plan accordingly. In case you are struggling to get a reservation give Lee a call or text her. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 500+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday! We went for a friend’s birthday and enjoyed a delicious lazy lunch under the trees. The service was excellent, as we arrived, bubbles were poured and the meals started coming. Everyone with dietary restrictions was catered for and the waiters knew them by name. The food was delicious and perfect portions! After eating, we put blankets down and enjoyed some chill-out time in the shade. Loved it. Beautiful setting, seating under trees, large grass lawn, and a local friendly dog 🐶. Really no complaints. Perfect for large gatherings, we were 14 people and had a wonderful day. It's quite a unique dining experience, very laid back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
On a beautiful day we went for lunch at this restaurant...the road is a dirt road...the setting is in a lovely garden setting under the trees...the host was very friendly...there are not too many tables & bookings have to be in advance & theres a non refundable R100 per person booking which we lost when the couple that was supposed to join us couldn't make it...the menu is a surprise for R550 per person but they do check food requirements...it's shared meals but with generous portions...it's 3 courses...the meals were excellent & we could barely finish the meals...the highlight was certainly the 12 hour cooked lamb shank...it just melted in your mouth...the setting under the trees were lovely...the only issue would be the dirt roads & the areas where the tables are was also sandy & not grass but otherwise was a good outing... Booking essential. Table at De Meye. Upon arrival you travel along a gravel road. As you enter through the wonderful trees, you're greeted by all things nature; birds chirping away and if you're lucky, a cool breeze rustling the leaves - you've escaped the concrete jungle. Peace at last. Your eyes catch fellow diners under the umbrella of the trees, protected by their shade, a sense of calm washes over you. You are directed to your table, with much anticipation, the menu a total mystery which certainly stirs some excitement as you enter the unknown. I was trying to see what was served on other tables, but at the same time didn't want to spoil the surprise - in this review, I'll try not share too many menu details. We were greeted by, Fortunate, our waitress for the day. Her attentiveness and bubbly sense of humour was so welcome. She made sure we were always comfortable and happy. The service is phenomenal, the wait staff float around you like butterflies. Then there's the food, my oh my! The starter, a bread course with many accompaniments was sensational. I could have honestly just eaten that all day. The mains, were plentiful, each dish showcasing the ingredients and one can certainly taste the care and love that has gone into the preparation. We as a table could not fault a single dish - perfectly seasoned, well balanced and utterly scrumptious. The care and planning that goes into each day's menu is remarkable, from texture, to balance of flavours and pairings - yay! ❤️ The dessert was light, textural, cooling and just bloody wonderful. Not overly sweet. How we found space in our bellies 🤷‍♂️ but we did. The wine on offer is lives up to the standard of the food, the cabernet franc was dangerous drinkable and unfortunately I nominated myself as driver for the day so I only got a few sips 😅. If you enjoy food, being outdoors under the trees in a relaxed setting, completely at peace and having long lunches, then you absolutely have to try Table at De Meye. Great service including personal attention of management. Brilliant setting on a warm spring day under the trees. Food was good - really disappointed with the lamb offering of very fatty neck - we did not eat it. Lamb shoulder was advertised on the site ? Also very expensive for what you get Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Most beautiful place to spend a unique lunch experience with family or friends. Always love to come back for the excellent combination of beautiful cooked food and lovely service. A place one of a kind Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a great lunch at The Table. Excellent food and a very friendly and professional service. We especially loved the starters with the homemade ciabatta and fresh greens. The owners are very nice and took the time to chat with us, which we really enjoyed. The portions are really big and they propose a doggy bad if you can't finish. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Beautiful setting, with tables set under the trees (weather dependent). Loved the fact that tables are far apart - it creates the feeling of exclusivity. The 3 courses were a surprise as they serve whatever is available on the day. The fact that I did not have to choose what I wanted to eat, was refreshing. The food arrived and all 3 courses were excellent. Some of the tastiest and most interesting food that I have ever enjoyed. Usually, desert is a letdown, but in this case it was a triumph. Great setting, food and service. It was perfect.

Magical place that you want to spend a whole day at! Scrumptious food that is so fresh and bright! The chef is a true much a magician that combines flavors together that you would never think about. It is a three course set meal, but you get multi dishes in several of the courses.Locally sourced food! I can recommend this place enough! Plus, there’s very cute dogs are so well behaved that will come and hang out with you!
