Bartenders were nice . Great selection of local craft beers available. I didn't look at the can selection available . 8 bucks for a beer seems high to me though

I frequent the foundry because I love eating here - HOWEVER - the bar is easily one of the worst and most racist in St. Louis. EVERY time I come to the bar, I am ignored by the all white staff. I watch and observe how they sprint to serve white patrons VS ignoring black patron who sit there with money out. chick with the purple hair has done it at least twice. Overpriced, horrible service. If any other place in the foundry sold liquor, I would HAPPILY purchase from them instead. The city foundry needs to find another bar
Kept a second star on because the drinks and drink selection are good. Unfortunately, like other reviewers have said, the service is not good. The staff is nice and personable, but they simply stand at the end of the bar on theirs phones (this time one of the 5 was doing something that appeared to be work related). They do not pay attention to when new people arrive nor when drinks are low or even empty. Experienced this on. Multiple occasions over the past months.
I absolutely the love Foundry all the Different food vendors are amazing. the thing that needs the most help is the kitchen bar. was there last night 3/19 With my family and no joke waited at least ten minutes every time to get a beer. I realize the place is very busy but what has ALL the customers angry is the lack of sense of urgency with the 4 bartenders. The bar had two customers deep waiting and yet the 4 of them in every occasion were standing there talking with each other. This is the poorest customer service in the building. Going to give the place one more try but if this level of service continues will find other venues to spend our money. Hope someone see this and really tries to turn this around for the people that love the Foundry. Sincerely Chris Hoormann

One of the bartenders was little snarky when we asked for some water! They told us that’s what the water fountain is for and pointed at it and acted like we were wasting their time by asking. They were very rude and unprofessional:/ Price per person $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
Arrived found a seat, waited for the bartender to wait on the only person there before us, however he had a lengthy conversation with this patron who’s was seated 5 seats away. Another gentleman showed up between us and waited patiently also. The bartender turned to the gentleman who just showed up and took his order. I interrupted him to advise that we had been waiting patiently. He ignored me so I said excuse me again rather loudly. He still ignores me. M friend them asked his name and he responded with “Zach”. Mind you I don’t have an inside voice and the bar was not crowded. As we got up to leave he and a gentleman at the end of the bar with a tablet began laughing. My friend then went back to inquire about laughing. And the bartender was very sarcastic and asked if we were making introductions. We advised him of the situation and he then said. “Oh my name is Matt.” So now he’s admitting to lying to us. My friend continued to engage with him as he asked if we needed anything. I walked off My first visit was nice, not this time. I’m not going back
Aggressively inattentive service. I'm presently watching the 5 staff on the clock have journal time and olive tasting at the back of the bar. Dying to spend money, but employees keep walking past me to return to conversation with each other. I've been here several times now, and one guy I have watched do absolutely zero work whatsoever in a cumulative hour or so. Someone just cleared my food but didn't ask if I wanted a drink. Perhaps the employees are trying to drive their place of employment out of business due to a grudge with management. Who knows?
