Had a wonderful time at Fat Zebra on Friday night. Loved the setting and location near some live music acros the street. Initially I didn't know what to eat so I asked the very friendly and helpful waiter Vincent to recommend something. Pasta he said, out Pasta are home made. I tried it and it was really AMAZING. loved it! My wife had the chicken salad which also was very nice. Well worth a visit. 23/07/10 again visited today for my wife's birthday. Again a great experience. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We often go to The Fat Zebra after our cycle on a Sunday. Coffee is great, food is generally good. The service depends on the waiter you get :) we often get our regular waiters .... which is great. 5 across the board for Food / Vibe / Service Food: French toast - definite winner, smashed avo with salmon - good! Coffee also came in big mugs!!! Vibe: love the decor, you have a few seats on the street vibe (be careful of leaving valuables on the tables outside) Service : wait staff are on point! Lovely resultant with good vibes. Staff was friendly but a bit slow because we sat at the back but it’s nothing the manager can’t fix/handle. Food was really amazing and had a nice variety of brunch meals. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person R 200–250

✨Wow✨ having my favourite breakfast hub from Johannesburg now also being in Hazelwood is such a perk! The same kindness and welcoming atmosphere is felt here! If you need a space for a quick meet up or a celebration this is the place to go! I think we got them on an off day because from other reviews the food seems to be great but the peri peri half chicken I had was rather dry and bland and the Caesar chicken salad not great either. We ate at The Fat Zebra last night. An EXCELLENT experience. From the service to the stunning food to the price. We ate perfectly prepared steak with freshly prepared sides & a tasteful choice of red Merlot. What an experience. Thank you to this restaurant for making our special night memorable...
