Walk in experience was one I’m pleased I did, from the warm & sincere friendly welcome to the very tasty meal this should be known but hidden jewel deserves its 5 stars! I had the braised lamb - tend & flavoured just right. Often the lamb is drowning in sauce - here the chef & his team understand that subtle taste of lamb is the champion of this dish with wonderful Juse to the side should you decide for a richer taste, completing the dish on a bed of pea then kumera mash that added sweetness yet using a rosemary flaky puff square to keep the savoury featured. Well done chef & team! The bar manager was attentive, friendly & professional too. We went there for father's Day and the food was better then expected. Felt like a good class pub meal. Would love to go again but would skip desert next time as it was very sweet and just not my thing but did taste good. A very relaxing place. Great service and very tasty cocktails. The menu looked great, but we did not order from it, since we are vegan. Music was not too loud, and catered to most tastes. Good bowl of chips. Was a bit disappointed that I ordered a Jameson and ginger ale but they were out of ginger. Average selection of whiskeys, but friendly staff and trivia on the TV. I would probably return for a drink if it were on the way...
