Hey, This is Anusha from India. I was in Sri Lanka in the first week of January. So our taste buds were in search of Indian food and we got into this restaurant in Bentota, Sri Lanka. The food was too good and yummy similar to India. The chefs are from Uttarakhand. So if you are in Sri Lanka you must give this hotel a try.
Average food, but prices are more than a five star Indian restaurant in Colombo.
They charge a compulsory service charge of 10%, but when enquired with the staff, they informed me that it doesn't go to them.
The AC was set at 27 degrees and when requested the staff to lower the temperature as it was getting hot, they refused saying they can't do it.
So it's basically over priced average tasting food in an hot environment and on top of that you pay an additional 10% service charge, which doesn't even go to the serving staff.
Unless you are in a situation where you can't live without Indian food for an hour, stay away from this place. IT WILL TAKE 2 HOURS TIME ON AN AVERAGE TO GET YOUR FOOD. On top of that, the manager is arrogant.
I am not sure how come this below the average place got good ratings? Are these real?
Also just read the reply they give to negative reviews. This reflects the mindset of these people. Because of the increasing number of indian tourists and the lack of indian food places, they are surviving even with such an attitude.
Edit 1: wow!! What a story they have created in reply. I ate food and ran away and they caught!!! Simply wow! Cheapness at its best is what the owner here defines. It's not a bollywood drama. Shame that you are human, forget the nationality.
I have been to 18 countries in the world and have been for the last 7 days in SriLanka. Never have I ever seen such a cheap, nonsensical, idiotic, less educated and cultured person in any of these places, nor will I ever see.
A few days ago, I enjoyed a wonderful dinner with my family at TCD, a hidden gem for Indian cuisine in the Bentota area. The menu was a delightful journey through flavors, with standout dishes like Nan Roti, Biryani, Parata, Chicken Masala, and Chicken Tikka, each bursting with authentic taste and aroma. Adding to our delightful experience was the manager, Gayan, whose superlative hospitality and friendliness made our visit even more memorable. I would highly recommend TCD to anyone seeking a rich Indian culinary experience.
Lovely evening at this restaurant. Staff were extremely helpful and efficient, plus made extra effort to get the foortball game we wanted to see on the screen… great picture, bad game 🤦🏻♀️
The food was excellent! Best Indian food we have had in Srilanka and as good as our favourite restaurant in Manchester.

The cuisine Delight restaurant is too good to put it simply. The Indian flavours of daal tadka, dumaaloo, daal makhni,garlic naans are awesome. The tawa roti which I have ordered was exactly what you prepare at home. All in all, it is wonderful place to dine in with family & friends.
We went to this restaurant for a take out dinner. They provide good Indian delicacies like chicken, and vegetables. Food was good and the prices were average
Food was really good and was prepared by an Indian chef. So getting Indian near to our resort that too out of India was great. Restaurant ambience was soothing and calm. My daughter enjoyed the selfie point whatever you call whenever we visited she was so excited to dance and click photos there. Regarding food it was very delicious and yummy. You can have a variety of options in food. Food taste was just like India only. The restaurant location was also near to many beach resort like temple tree, cinnamon, bentota resort and many more.
Delightful ndian cuisine away from India. Who can expect the taste to match with best of choice indian restaurants? I would pitch for repeated visits to enjoy the verifies.
