Second visit to The Baked Bear in Tuscaloosa - it’s a new favorite for our family! We’ve all tried a variety of cookies and ice cream - everyone gets different and we all sample each others!) and we have all agreed that the Gooey Butter Cookie is the best cookie and they put pure magic in their vanilla ice cream! You won’t regret a stop here! Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Custom Ice Cream Sandwich

Did a quick Google search for ice cream while visiting Tuscaloosa and saw this place. Looked extremely good from the pictures so we decided to try it. It was not too busy so we didn't have to wait and the staff was friendly. We both got the cookie sandwich and the portions are definitely shareable in my opinion. Ice cream and cookies were good and I would come again when in town and wanting something sweet.
We had a gluten free cookie ice cream sandwich, cookie bowl, brownie bowl all with ice cream. It was all divine. So delicious. Portion sizes are worth it. Super friendly staff and FAST! I really wanted to like this place but it was a miss for me. We went in the evening and it was busy, but it may have been too late to get fresh products. I had the bear batter in between two brownies. The brownies had a good flavor and flavored most of the dish. I did not like the texture of the brownies because they were chewy and stuck to my teeth. The ice cream by itself did not have a lot of flavor besides tasting sweet. My husband felt the same about his soy based ice cream. We were glad they had a dairy free option for him even though they were out of the dairy free cookies he wanted. The price did not match the quality of the food unfortunately.
Neat little place. Only thing I wished for with my cookies and ice cream was milk, but that could just be me. Mexican Coca Cola and water are only drinks offered.
Some of the best ice cream I've ever had and at a great price. $5 and you get a full cup. It's 3 scoops. Amazing.
This....this....ohy goodness. If you are within 30 minutes of this place, it is worth making a trip. The cookies, the ice cream, the customization: womderful on all counts. This is REAL ice cream combined with perfect soft cookie for the ultimate experience.

Some of the best ice cream I have had. I got an ice cream sandwich with a snickerdoodle and a funfetti cookie, with mint chocolate chip ice cream. The cookies were so soft even without being warmed, and I loved that the ice cream wasn't overly sweet

A review of the establishment "Baked Bear" Walking in, the atmosphere is nice, a nice aroma of baked goods, followed with a welcoming smile. The tables are well maintained and cleaned, with a nice attention to detail due to the blue coloring in the chairs, matching the accents of the restaurant. The line was unfortunately quite long, although this gave a good amount of time to read the long and exotic menu. A combination of cookies and ice cream is displayed above, displaying them in a nice and orderly fashion. The ordering process was simple, and the staff pleasant, however, they seemed to think I was not part of my group (a little weird bro) and they did not allow my friend to eat to go. The seats are cold, like the ice cream, and unfortunately the cookies. The heating press system seems to be a marketing ploy, as my cookies, although delicious, were not anywhere near warm. There was no music playing to fill the void of loneliness surrounding me perpetually, and the lights seemed excessively bright. This experience costed me more than 8 dollars, and I would give it an 8/10.
Oh my!! We found this place traveling through Tuscaloosa on our way home to Huntsville, AL. WOW! These are amazing and the price is not too bad for what you get. Worth driving off the interstate. Friendly staff just makes it even sweeter!
