This place is just amazing, it's where the locals get their food. It's made fresh each day and the shop is open until the food is gone. Yesterday I had the last bit of braised pork leg and I was a bit afraid of food poisoning risk. Using google translate, I asked some questions, and along with all the good reviews, I took the leap. And it was amazing!! No food poisoning, went again this morning for crispy pork. Alsl great, but the slow cooked pork leg is better.

You could easily walk by this unassuming restaurant but definitely don't if you are looking for authentic Thai food at a very reasonable price. The food is amazing and the little jars of sauces on the table are some of the best I've ever tried. Can't recommend a visit here enough.

don’t be fooled by the touristy sounding name of “Thai Restaurant” on google maps. This is authentic thai food and you know it’s good because locals are constantly coming in and getting takeaway boxes.
This outstanding restaurant is fully operated by the sweetest lady ever. I’m not an expert in thai food, but this is what i imagine thai home cooking is like versus the typical menu items you see everywhere else. With the friendliness and the open kitchen full of slow cookers, you truly feel like you’re in her home for a meal.
You have to go early as all the food sells out around lunch time, and it’s definitely worth it. i went twice, the first time i was a too late and got some crispy pork and white rice which was good but not nearly as good as the chicken with yellow rice i had the following morning. Go early and get yourself some yellow rice, you won’t regret it. The chicken not only the most flavourful chicken i’ve ever had but was also so tender it slid right off the bone with just a spoon.
One last thing, the sauces on the table are a step above anywhere else on the island. What ever green one is was blowing my mind, sweet and citrusy.
I hope i get one more meal here before leaving koh tao.

We were told by one of a local coffee shop owner to come here for good authentic Hainanese Chicken Rice (Kao Mun Gai) and Slow Cooked Pork Leg Rice (Kao Khaa Mhoo), and it is indeed very good.
The meat is tender and both the rice dishes are flavorful.
This is one of the hidden gems on the island. Locals people seem to order from here a lot.
This place is right next to Juicy Burger, easy to spot. It’s a small humble restaurant but they look clean and the condiments also look clean.
What we really like about this place is that they “cover” the food and the preparation area, unlike many other places that usually leave their cooked food and food prepping area exposed to flies.
The portion of the food is good, the price is reasonable for the quality of food we get. Both the chicken rice sauce and the green sauce for slow cooked pork leg, were delicious. 👌🏼👌🏼
Next time will try the crunchy the crunchy pork which seems to be quite popular here.
Note: there are a few tables inside the restaurant but if you find it not so convenient, you can get it packed and find somewhere nice at the beach or at the hotel to enjoy this food.

PERFECT PLACE FOR A SUPER TASTY AND CHEAP MEAL. EVERYTHING ON THE MENU IS FIRE! YELLOW RICE WAS SPOT ON AND THE CHICKEN VERY JUICY. (HOMEMADE) HOTSAUCES ARE WORTH IT! GREAT SMILE FROM THE KITCHEN AND FREE LITTLE SOUP 💯

One of my favorite spots on the island, easy to miss but just next to juicy burger. They have chicken birryani, steamed pork leg, and crispy pork. Food comes out extremely quickly, staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the prices are super reasonable. Very highly recommend

Excellent little restaurant. Ordered the braised pork leg and came with veges and sauces. Oh man, this was so good.
Found this place too late. Can’t wait to go back for lunch and dinner.
