Tasquinha da Linda is a seafood establishment in Viana do Castelo that offers a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant's specialty is fresh seafood, with a variety of fish and shellfish dishes on the menu. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, perfect for a romantic evening or a special occasion. The interior design is tasteful and refined, with elegant touches throughout the space. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous. The restaurant is located on a quiet section of the waterfront, overlooking the fishing boats. One of the standout dishes is the seafood casserole, which features four types of fish and three shellfish in a broth with tomatoes and peppers. The John Dory is also cooked to perfection, and the goose barnacles are a delicious treat. The wine selection is excellent, with a good price ratio. Reservations are highly recommended, as the restaurant is often fully booked. The staff is attentive and professional, providing excellent service throughout the meal. There is outdoor seating available, where diners can enjoy views of the fishing boats heading out to sea. In addition to seafood, the restaurant also offers a selection of meat dishes, such as the grilled steak. Cocktails, soft drinks, and a range of wines are available, including the Muros Antigos alvarinho and the red Douro wine. Overall, Tasquinha da Linda is a must-visit fine dining spot for seafood lovers visiting Viana do Castelo.

What makes this place enormous is the stuff who took a great care about our table and order. Not only by drop-and-go, but waitresses had also recommended for us favorite options among drinks and desserts. It’s obvious that they know what is being sell in the menu and are able to adapt to the guest expectations. The food was not that spectacular as we thought it will be, however still done well and served nicely. Restaurant near the port with a cost design inside. Excellent octopus and fish soup. The oysters very tasty, perhaps only nit-picking is that half of them were on the smallish side. But still great and recommended. Service is very attentive and quick. Don’t think is expensive for what you get. Top recommendation. Meal type Lunch Price per person €40–45 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Upmarket fish and seafood restaurant. We had the seafood platter for 2. Excellent and plenty: different crabs, rock lobster, clams, mussels, gooseneck barnacles, shrimp, … Stylish interior(in contrast to the somewhat scruffy harbour). Service professional but lacks warmth. Surprised they do not serve (sparkling) wine by the glass, this day and age. Nonetheless an enjoyable culinary experience. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Down by the quay, right next to the lobster pots and small fishing boats. Fresh lobster. Fantastic seafood fare, every dish looked fantastic. You need to make a special trip, as it isn't in the central tourist trap area. Michelin recommended and you can see why. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €30–35
Wow great restaurant!! We had the hole grilled fish and it was amazing plus the wine selection was off the chart’s we enjoyed a private tour of the seafood cellar too Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I cannot understand why this place is a Michelin star contender. We were the first people to enter the restaurant and our food was ready after 85 minutes. Staff was extremely uninterested in us. When I've asked if there is any reason for such a long wait, the waiter told us the food is coming and we never saw the server again. We had to pour the wine on our own. As for the food - it was very average. Lobster rice was nice in taste, but overcooked. Seefood mix was, well, very mixed - crab was good, but shrimp average. We expected that the food will be worth the wait, but it wasn't. The cherry on top was that we were charged separately for the bread and butter (the pre-starter) which was 6 euros a person in total. This was easily the worst €200 I've ever spent. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €50+ Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
We were so excited to go to this restaurant and have our a bit more fancy date there on Saturday night, booked it a week in advance. We ordered a seafood casserole, which looked great when they brought it. It was smelling quite strong, but we just thought it was a mix of different seafood and fish that was giving a funny smell. Later we discovered that one of the the fish pieces in the dish was bad. First I ate a little piece and was disgusted. Then I separated the fish with a fork and an incredible strong icky odor came out. We called a waiter, he didn’t even ask anything, it seemed like they serve fish that’s gone bad relatively often. Then the manager came and gave us a thousand of apologies… but that doesn’t change the fact that they served us food that gave us food poisoning, but later about it. For starters, we had some croquetas and pimentos de padrón. They brought us the bill pretending to make the biggest gesture and removing those items from the bill. That literally was around 10 euros😂 Next day I woke up with stomach pain and was throwing up (sorry for details) all Sunday long. My husband had a stomach pain and was nauseous too for the next two days. I ate very very little of that fish, but I assume the bacteria from it got on the other food too. I’m not sure more comments needed. How come the chef didn’t distinguish the fish that was bad while cooking is a mystery for us. This is the fist time it happens to us, even in very cheap restaurants we never had such a bad experience with quality of products. Nevertheless, I hope this review can save someone abdominal cramps, vomiting and diarrhea. Double check the fish they serve you at this place. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
Fantastic seafood. We had a mix plate and the taste was excellent. Without or with only a breeze of seasoning they were able to bring out the best of the natural taste of the seafood. Staff was friendly and professional. Don't forget to make a reservation up-front! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €50+
