Tacos Ely is the place to go before 10am. They have tacos guisados which is lots of different ones. They put rice and beans in each taco and also the main part you choose to add. You can ask them not to put rice and or beans as well. The price is $55-85 for 3 tacos and a drink. I always get the stuffed Chile and that's the more "expensive" one. Also tip if you are done with your drink and want a little more you can get a little half refill for free. Tacos Ely is an amazing taco place and is a place you should not miss while in Puerto Morelos!

Excellent tacos. It is a fast pace / fast serve restaurant and local feel and price. It was the best food I had on my trip in Mexico. Highly recommend.

Came on the recommendation of a local friend who is from Cancun. I loved it! The fast paced, order and keep it moving style reminded me of many NY places. They can do this because they were confident in their food and the fact that it will sell out.
Fyi they will close once food is sold out. So it is a breakfast place only.
The selection was great and amazing tortillas hand made/pressed not like a tortilleria (which i also love).
You can choose any topping and with beans and rice or not.
Also variety of flavored waters.
Don’t mess around with anything leas than 3 tacos. I say at 4 and choose each one different. Nothing os bad here!

After many months of wanting to come here I finally had my 3 tacos for 55 pesos! They had such a large variety of ingredients and unfortunately when she told me what they were in Spanish I was not sure. But I did have the shrimp in the taco which is different than what I normally have, and it was delicious.
When I asked if they had coffee they brought out a cup and when I asked for sugar they had none so I started to give it back. She encouraged me to take it and, OMG, it was delicious and I still don't know what was in it. Not a lot of seats, and a lot of people coming in, so that's always a good sign.
The mole here is astonishingly good. Everything is good here, and the salsa is spicy instead of bland. Also, there's a place to wash your hands and plenty of napkins which you will need. The parking on the street is actually pretty easy to deal with, just wait for someone to finish eating and then grab their spot, rinse and repeat.
I am Cancun Manny, a mexiamerican that has spent his whole life between USA and Mexico. I am familiar with the taste buds on both sides of the border. That said I pretty much guarantee that anyone that enjoys Mexican food would love this restaurant.
This place is mostly a breakfast place. They open around 6am, and usually by 11am they are done. The closer you get to 11am the less options you will have.
They offer their "special" for 50 pesos. You get 3 tacos and a drink with one refill. Some of the tacos do cost 2 pesos more per taco. For example if one of your tacos is a stuffed jalapeno, it would be 52 pesos instead of 50 pesos.
They have about 20 cazuelas (clay pots) each with a different dish. Some of the items I remember are things like scrambled eggs with chorizo, longaniza, chaya, salsa roja, salsa verde, etc. They have peppers with cream (rajas con crema), pork rind in red or green sauce. Blood sausage, stuffed jalapenos, breaded chichen, breaded pork, fish, etc.
When it is you time to order they will ask if you want rice and beans on your tacos. Personally I don't like rice on my tacos but do enjoy a bit of beans on top.
They also have a salsa bar well marked. The hot stuff is HOT. My favorite salsa there is their guacamole salsa which is not hot at all.
My only complaint about this place is that they are not close to my house, so I don't get to have breakfast there as often as I would like. All groups of clients I've taken there have really enjoyed their meal.
