Went here for The Francesinha - and it was a great experience 😋! Prepared on a live wood fire, three types of meat, bread hidden inside, topped with melting cheese, and accompanied with two types of sauces 🤩 The spicy one is hot 🌶🌶 Washed down with local beer, Super Bock 🍻. The owner was really nice and friendly, cooking the meal and telling the history of the meal, and chatting about Porto/Gaia and football. We felt very wellcome and got suberb service (in English)! On top of the heavy meal a sip of "moonshine" finished this excellent evening! I truely recommend finding your way to this culinaristic gem 🤩🤩! Very cool vintage and old school items on the walls and roof that date back to many many years ago. Food wasn't bad, Nothing you can't get anywhere else in Porto / Vila Nova De Gaia. The services was rushed. The waitress made us feel like we must eat and leave asap. I ordered a Prego am Prato to which the waitress didn't approve of it. I had to basically beg for it. The dish was normal tasting. However it stood for more than 15 mins while Francesinhas were put into the fire. A francesinha is a dish that I don't eat for no particular reason. It's prefer to have something I truly enjoy when I go out. However, had a taste of others and it wasn't bad at all. The sauce was okay better than I have had in others places. The chicken francesinha was a first for me and it had a good flavour...the chicken itself. Not the sauce. We were given free PONCHA shots. With the waitress joining us. So that was cool. I will try the other location for a different Expereince. IE: they DO NOT accept foreign card payments only cash or local mutlibanco cards.

Quite good francesinhas and a funny environment. I'd recommend this place to a party kind of costumer, since it's not fancy, it's loud and funny. It's good for dinner parties. They offer a refreshment at the end. Avoid the starters as they are quite expensive for the quality. The francesinha price is good for the quality. The beer is awesome also.

This place!!! I can’t say enough how amazing it was, and it’s a must when in Gaia! The owner is there and you can tell his passion for his craft. He is so personable and really appreciates you being there and you can feel it! The food is so good, we had his Francesinha and it was truly the best we have ever had. Good place, although it was kind of small and a little cold. Besides that, the francesinha was awesome, flavor was great, hot sauce was great, speed was ok, service was nice. For sure I will return. 1 francesinha with egg ~10€

We stopped by for the Francesinha and loved it, thus decided to stop by again to try the steak and it was amazing….. if I’m ever in the area again or close by, I’ll definitely make it a point to eat here again! This is a “locals” cafe but we were treated like family. The food is honest and not pretentious and doesn’t claim to be. We had the francesinha and we’re delighted. Good beer and local wines as well. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €35–40

THE Place to go if you want to have The Traditional Francesinha. Done in a traditional "forno de lenha" you won't get a better atmosphere and setting to enjoy a jolly meal with your party. The staff was super lovely, accomodating and just overall fun. Highly recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
