This place is a fisherman's dream with a lot of camping and hiking supplies as well. They have all kinds of cute items as well. I love going in to see the different items and newest Nebo lights they keep in stock. Definitely recommend stopping to see what they have! Friendly service and great food as well!

This is my favorite places in town. Always pleasant people working the shop not to mention all the wonderful local products. They also have a very good selection of beer which is surprising. Microbrews aren't what you expect to find but they have them in abundance!

My company reimburses for my fuel expenses, I must provide a receipt. Filled the vehicle up, $50 plus. Gas pump out of paper, no receipt. Head inside to get receipt. Shows closing at 8:00pm on the door, it's 7:50 and doors are locked. Ask the lady inside, through the locked doors, if I can get a receipt, she says no and walks away. Customers were going in and out of the store when I started pumping fuel. So instead of turning in the receipt and being reimbursed in morning, I fill out the paperwork and wait a month to be reimbursed.

Great outfitter with a friendly group of folks who shuttled our car. Originally called the outfitter and I was connected with Sean who was super friendly and helpful explaining how their shuttle service worked. We put in at Pembroke and took out at Bluff City so we brought two sets of keys and they drove our car to Bluff City for us. I had originally dropped our boats at the put in and driven back to Tangent to leave the car with them. I was going to walk back to the put in (only 0.4 miles) but they insisted one of their staff go with me so I could drive back to the put in and they’d take the car from there, which was super helpful so we could get on the water faster! All this for only $60 and our car was waiting for us in Bluff City. They also have a little cafe with a great breakfast and various New River souvenirs. Will definitely use again next time I’m in the area!

Stopped to use the restroom was very clean, but ended up getting some drinks and food. Which I would definitely recommend the cafe, the food is absolutely amazing and took maybe under a couple minutes! Although one cashier was smoking a blunt right by the gas cylinders which clearly says, “this is a smoke-free environment”. The other cashier with reddish black hair was very nice and very attentive!

Great place for breakfast, or a quick bite any time. There's a made to order grill area, or you can choose one of the ready made options. There's outside seating for nice days when you've just rolled off the river, too. And ice cream!

A nice mix between a deli and a convenience store. Good lunch, very informal dining, friendly staff. Great place to stop after working up an appetite at Cascade Falls.

We stopped here for lunch before heading out to go kayaking on the river. We had burgers and they were very good. Our oldest son had the meat and cheese omelet and said it was also very good. Friends rented kayaks (we have our own) and we're happy with their experience.

Great people! My friend and I showed up for a kayak trip not knowing what to expect. Shawn sat down and showed us where to camp, fish and how to navigate the river. Tangent took care of my truck and picked us up when it was time to get off the river. When we said we didn’t feel like the 7 hour hour back home Shawn offered us place on the river to stay for the night. It was a great little place with a good view. They truly went out of their way to make it a good trip for us.

Great little small town store! Friendly employees and very helpful. Get some awesome food while chatting with the local folks or just get gas and some snacks for the road. They have pizza whole or by the slice, sandwiches, biscuits, wraps, etc. And prices are very reasonable!! Also there is a small gift shop including handmade fishing lures!
