Such a calm and peaceful atmosphere rarely exists. The interior is reminiscent of a country inn in the mountains. The music in the background plays quiet relaxing tones.
The menu is small but nice. There are four small main courses as well as various burgers and deserts and many coffee variations. A vegetarian burger (peanut burger without bacon) was even made especially for us.
The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was adorable.

Dessert isn’t too sweet, smells good coffee, and tasty bubble tea.
The cafe is beautiful and cozy with Japanese style for indoor and outdoor decor.
Even there’s a cutie fat cat, the cafe is very clean and smells good.
It was a hot afternoon, and I was thinking about grabbing a cup of coffee. When I was riding on the scooter and turned left, I saw this cute coffee place at the corner. I then stopped and went inside to enjoy the environment and my afternoon tea.
The iced americano was good, I also ordered a slice of cheese cake which was really delicious, and was such a good match with the coffee.
There is a small patio where you can take some cute pictures and enjoy the drink and the sun (if the sun was not fierce lol).
Highly recommended you guys to come here if you'd like a place to chill for the afternoon in Taitung.
They apparently have coffee that won some award. But my mandarin is bad, so I could only understand half of what was being said. But in any case, we didn't have any of the award-winning coffee. We had the usual cappuccino, drizzled with some honey and a sprinkling of some flowers? We saw some people try the fancy coffee, complete with a coffee demonstration and explanation of the coffee. So if anyone is into specialty coffee, might be worth a try.
We had some fried chicken set, which was pretty good. The chicken was crispy, and the chicken meat was juicy. It came with a sweet chilli sauce that tasted a little Thai-inspired. We also ordered the fries and it's really addictive - the outside is crisp and it's soft on the inside. Satisfying meal overall.
We found the place while on a walk during our vacation. Great food, great service, great experience and a sleepy cat on a rainy day.

I hate to be negative about this place, which may well be the cutest cafe in the country. The refurbished Japanese-era building has an authentiic, old-fashioned beauty, but despite excellent coffee, an extremely photogenic interior and patio, and adorable cats, my experience here was frustrating. It's a very small space, and around 11:30 on a weekday, it was both noisy and completely chaotic. There were no free tables, a dozen people were milling around looking for seats, and there wasn no real acknowledgment of our presence by the hopelessly overwhelmed staff. Of course the service was extra slow and there were mistakes on orders; this is not the staff's fault. It's as if the management had never run a restaurant before, and never even considered how to handle a small rush. Clearly, they need more staff and some way to expand their indoor capacity if they want to give all their guests a positive experience. Unfortunately, I dont really recommend this place unless you're coming at the slackest of slack times.
