Absolutely wonderful best Mexican in the area!!!! Only reason I gave a 3 star on atmosphere is the fact that it is a food truck so if cold or to hot outside it's hard to eat under the covered dining area however they do have fans!

Taco Ray Special Roasted Pork
I don't traditional enjoy Mexican food because everything that's Mexican I've tasted in the South, can't even tie Moe's SouthWest restaurant's shoes. Which is an indictment on the state of Mexican cuisine in the south east outside of Moe's. Let me start off with that as a point of reference before I begin my review. Okay as far as presentation, perfect 5 out of 5. Gorgeous succulent looking plate. Speed of service, admirable 4.5 out of 5. Now I guess you want my HONEST UNBIASED opinion on the quality, textured taste, and flavor of the food. I will give my reasons for the next 3 categories.
Texture and taste: [3.5 ⭐️] The main meats in my tacos were chorizo and steak. The texture of the sausage was decent but a bit tough but not to the point it destroys the experience... but the steak was dog heel rubbery, almost impossible to chew without comfortably without a hyenas jaw strength. The topping and out casing were fresh and tasted Heavenly refreshing and genuine to complement the main filling.
Quality: [4.0 ⭐️] It's actually tastes like a healthy alternative to my palate. If this was a healthier option than a burger or Italian, it's worth the price. But the next category puts thus comment into perspective.
Taste: [3.0 ⭐️] Now I understand a fresh tasting taco but I like to taste distinct flavors with a good hint of salinity to compliment it. So the taste was too bland for me to want to binge on it. But I would probably order once in a blue moon because it actually tasted authentic and fresh. But the texture of the steak and the lack of savory flavor just didn't have me head over heels for seconds. The taste overall was like a glorified salad in my opinion.
Conclusion: [3.9 ⭐️] Would I even recommend eat from here? Of course 99.9%. But that 1% to those who really know what home cooked Mexican food tastes like. If you're expecting Moe's, it not nowhere near. But it does look and taste healthier than Moe's.

Campechano Steak Chorizo
By far the best food truck in the Columbia area. Food was fresh and serving portions were large. Definitely worth the drive. The Family and I will come back again. Absolutely!!!

I have been wanting to try Tacos Ray for awhile now. I ordered delivery and all the food came just as pictured online. The food was very good I especially like the Sope! Pork tacos and steak chimi was well proprtioned (enough for 2 to share) and good. Not sure I liked the sauce on the chimi, a little too spicy for me, but I am a lightweight with spicy. Prices are good and the outside area is covered but no inside seating.

It started out nicely enough, and went south quickly, I will start by saying check my reviews and know that I am fair but honest, my wife and I placed our order after some nice talk over the menu and prices, their Tortas are absolutely the highest I've seen from California, New Mexico, Colorado, Montana basically everywhere I've trained horses at $15.50 for the " regular " which just means traditional Mexican, ( I'm also a cowboy cook with current food safety certs and 30 years experience) and $18.and some change for the Columbian version..... just the sandwich.
They offered sopes @ $6.50 I believe and they offered 5 tacos for $8.50 so we ordered 2 sopes and a 5 pack of chicken tacos and 2 cokes, and she told the cook, we decided to pay b4 the food came, and she said with out blinking that will be $48.and change, and I said how much??, so then she says ohhh u wanted crispy tacos? I said yes is that really the almost $25.00 difference??
So she looks at the cook asks him about the shells ( in Spanish), and he replies I've already started and she tells me they are out of hard shells. At that point I took my wife's hand and said cancel the order, had to say it twice to be heard and we left.
We are missionaries, hosting a wonderful revival coming to kershaw area shortly, we will always be fair, honest and pray for anyone in need.
We are praying for Taco Ray's, anyone willing to steal from you needs prayer, you are already forgiven we forgave you as soon as it happened. So..... if want to over pay, possibly be taken advantage of because they believe you to be ignorant.... then Taco Ray's is for you.

Worth stopping by!! So glad I finally did. The food was amazing, and I mean really good. Fresh and delicious. The customer service was wonderful as well. I actually asked the nice lady what is her favorite thing on the menu and I said let me get it exactly how you would. I dined in and even on the very warm day I was comfortable eating in the tent setup. After basically inhaling my food I went back up to the window and tipped the crew and said thank you so much for your recommendation because it couldn't have been better!! Prices are great and the food is even better. Will be stopping by often 🙏🏽

Looked up places in Camden to eat. Came across this place. Read the reviews and they were good. Decided to try them. I was not disappointed. I ordered the chimichanga, quesdilla, sopes and their flavored water. The drink was different and refreshing. The portions of food is decent. They are very friendly.
Best tacos I've had in South Carolina! This is definitely going to be my new favorite place to eat! It's a taco truck with a covered seating area, amazing!
Super surprised how good this was. Simply blown away by their chimichangas.
