While a little concerned that few people were eating at the restaurant when we arrived it wasn’t because of poor service or food. I eat Thai food at least once a week. Most Thai restaurants boil their chicken and then toss it into their dishes just before serving. Not here. Everything was very fresh and truly exceeded our expectations. We were traveling to Vancouver island and are making our return trip home earlier so we can hit the place on the way home. Who knew my favorite Thai place would be in Bellingham, WA . Thanks Supons! Second visit and was super impressed that they happily adjusted the dish for dietary restrictions because everything is cooked fresh. The veggies were fresh and still crisp, the flavors marvelous. 2-star heat was all this wimp could take. We had the three meat combo. Each meal is prepared fresh when ordered and once again the veggies in the Traditional Thai Pad Thai were plentiful and crisp. I’ve only ever gotten takeout, but the food is always delicious! Regardless of what I order, it’s always big portions and loaded with veggies. It’s a tiny operation, and the staff members are always very friendly. I have a ton of Thai restaurants within walking distance to choose from, and after trying them all, I always come back to Supon’s! I went to this restaurant for a first date. The vibe that the restaurant had was nice, me and my boyfriend got our food only 10 minutes after ordering! i’d rate the food a 8/10. My only complaint is the insane prices! It was $15-$20 per plate on average! Don’t let the online images of their menu fool you. But aside from the prices, my experience at Supon’s Thai kitchen was great, just know what your getting yourself into financially. We ordered the Thai Basil Fried Rice, Pad Thai and a stuffed chicken wing for appetizer. For everything it was around $27. Not too bad and the serving size was gigantic. We had enough for leftovers the next day. I loved the atmosphere of this place and the staff was very friendly. I would def come back here again.

We ordered takeout, and while the food was good, it was disappointing that the restaurant uses styrofoam containers. Polystyrene foam not only poses a threat to human health (heat causes chemicals from the foam to leach into food), but it is rarely ever recycled and can be harmful to the environment.
