This place is awesome and I was very impressed on how delicious the breakfast is. I'm definitely making this place my #1 spot to go to for some good breakfast. The staff was very friendly and even though it was very busy they all still had a smile on their face and great customer service. Had not been here in ages. Seems like they have shrunk the menu. We came for breakfast. As usual there was a crowd and the food was good. Service was quick and efficient. Portion size was big. I got the country fried steak and eggs. Potatoes were ok. Biscuits was average ...maybe a little dry. My dining partners loved what they got. They are now using those cool mobile credit card deals at the table. Big fan. Coffee was decent and filled quickly. It is an old school restaurant with great food. They have a menu with a lot of choices including a great breakfast selections. They also have a buffet line in which they serve you. On the buffet they offer 4 meat choices and eight or ten vegetable choices. I had Country style steak with gravy, mashed potatoes and greens. It was one of the best meals I have had this month. Wow, I normally don't leave bad reviews but the service was rough. The server never asked if we needed anything. Only one of us got our drinks refilled. The biggest issue though with this place is the food was such a low grade of meat. I swear I'm not sure how their sirloin is even considered a steak it was more like deli ham. We decided to get brunch on Saturday. The place was humming with activity, but there was no wait to be seated. Our waitress took our drink orders right away, and moments later, she returned. We ordered a smoked sausage omelet with home fries and the chicken and waffles. The omelet was great, but the home fries were seasoned to perfection and perfectly crunchy. The chicken and waffles came simply presented on a plate. The chicken tenders were obviously hand breaded and placed on top of a waffle that was crispy on the outside and moist in the middle with a touch of powdered sugar! I topped the waffle w maple syrup and my chicken with Texas Pete. It was absolutely yummy! Our bill was about $20 before tip. Service was quick and kind. We are looking forward to going back! I love a hometown local place that takes pride in what they serve their community! We drove by the Sunrise diner when passing through town. Since we love diners, we decided to stop. The place was tastefully decorated for the holidays with Christmas music playing in the background. It was clear that this was a local hangout due to the amount of people there on a Friday morning. Even so, there was not a long wait. The food portions were great, and the omelettes were delicious. The staff was courteous and attentive. We will make this our new favorite spot each time we travel through town. The staff is very nice. Our first experience was pretty good. We went there for breakfast and ordered omelettes. The omelettes were delicious but the sides were not as fresh especially potatoes. They were cold and had been sitting for a while before we got em.

Waitresses are really great. One of the owners is so unfriendly guy not even return a reply when speaking directly to him, jumping on Waitresses in front of customers. Their prices have risen that I probably will never go back. Food is just ok. Nothing special. People need to boycott this place. Go to Terry House the owner is really friendly.
