I visited Sugar Bistro Galle for lunch and ordered a classic beef burger , flat white for drinks and seafood Mongolian rice. The burger was juicy and delicious, with a generous portion of sweet potatoes fries. The seafood Mongolian rice, however, was disappointing. It was bland and dry, and the seafood was overcooked. I expected more flavor and freshness from a Sri Lankan restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was cozy and modern. Overall, I would recommend the burger, but not the seafood Mongolian rice. I give this restaurant 3 out of 5 stars. Good restaurant situated in the Dutch hospital Galle fort, food was very flavoursome although I felt my portion size was a little in the small side. I had pumpkin soup with garlic chips served with bread, friend has avocado mash served with salad. Really nice atmosphere most of the waiters were bopping along to the music, very friendly and helpful. Service was quick comfy seating with a nice breeze through the restaurant to keep you cool

Steep prices but my custom Ceaser salad with homemade mayo was absolutely delicious. Very comfortable setting inside or outside and great service, making sure to check with me if they added an additional ingredient that we did not discuss. Looking forward to returning! My breakfast bowle and the brownie was very delicious. It would be nice to know beforehand when certain parts of the menu (like a pies) are not available. We had a black pork pie and a chilli butter fettuccine with prawns with two cocktails. The food was delicious than we thought and we were very satisfied but can't say the same for the sizes of the portions. Though the food are pricey the portion sizes were unexpectedly small. We got coffee here because we wanted to hide from the rain. The coffee was surprisingly delicious. And the place had nice ambiance. There are also toilets nearby. We spent 650 rupees for flat white. Meal type Other Price per person Rs 500–1,000 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Situated in dutch hospital galle fort. Atmosphere is great and customer service is perfect. No AC inside the restaurant. Food are good quality but not worthy for money spend. Portions are too small but prices are high. Taste is great and experience is nice. If you are very hungry, this is not a good choice due to small portion size. 🍔🍸🤷‍♂️ Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Wow wow wow…. The BEST crab and prawn curry I have EVER eaten EVER. It was sooooooooo good. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant is in the old Dutch hospital so very historical. We also tried the churros as my husband is Spanish and they too did not disappoint. We could not believe how cheap the food was too. We highly recommend this place if you go to Galle. The chef is very young but my god he can cook. 5 stars well done guys a great experience. 👍🙏👍🙏
