One of the few restaurants that I've discovered in Valletta that clearly caters for vegetarians and vegans. The focus seemed to be on wholesome and local produce. Service was good; friendly and courteous. Overall, the food is honest and well prepared. The chickpea burger would have benefited from extra seasoning. Portion sizes were fine. All the seating is outside. There are some large parasol type things to provide some shade. Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–15 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
This is one of the few places in Valletta that serve vegan/vegetarian food (other than pizza). We've had delicious maltese ravioli, with very tasty fresh tomato sauce, olives and capers. I definitely recommend, if you want to try some local food. :) The plate with avocado, mozarella and hummus was a bit bland - would not order it again. However, we've tried two local beers, which were very tasty. :) The street is quite atmospheric in the evening. Wouldn’t recommend going here as a vegan. I ordered pasta that had a vegan logo next to it and when I started eating I could taste that it was egg pasta. I asked the waiter who confirmed it was egg pasta. He showed me the menu and above the vegan pasta list it says “fresh egg pasta (vegetarian) or wholewheat paste (vegan)”. I did not see this as the pasta we chose had a vegan symbol right next to it. He did not ask which pasta we wanted and assumed it would be egg pasta. When I raised this he essentially blamed me for how I read the menu. As somewhere that gave “vegan” on all of their advertising, this is something that should always be asked when a pasta is ordered. Seeing the vegan logo right next to the dish I ordered did not make me assume I would have to check above and below for an conditions. Such a shame as I was really pleased to find this vegan friendly restaurant in Valletta.
I had a quick dinner at Soul Food and my experience isn't more than mediocre. The waiter gave me the menu without pointing out what wasn't available. When I was ready to order, I was told that the homemade lentil burger wasn't available (and therefore also some of the bowls that include this patty). I had to order a beyond burger which is not why I chose this place over those at the food court. The burger was boring in my opinion, only a small amount of sauce, some lettuce, a slice of tomato and a bit of onion. Smashed avocado, guacamole, red cabbage... there is so much you can do with a burger. Finally, I asked about bottled beer and was shown the beer section on the menu. Without knowing that Cisk doesn't come in bottles, I ordered that and got a can. When a customer asks for bottled beer, why isn't he told that the one he wants is canned? Probably due to the same reason they don't tell you what they don't have before you spend 10 mins deciding what to order - lack of interest. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The restaurant has generous portions and amazing vegan options. Isaac and Beatrice provided superb service, making the dining experience even better. The food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. I highly recommend this restaurant for its tasty vegan dishes and top-notch service. You won't be disappointed! 🌱🍽️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The pasta (arrabbiata) was good, the bowl only average. Coffee was good. Toilets were awful and close to the kitchen. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €15–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Ordered a buddha bowl, oven baked potato fries and drinks. Total cost: ca. 28€ + Good vegan options. - Food was a bit bland and dry. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–15 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Buddha Bowl
Food was ok, pasta was undercooked, portions were small and they give small portion. On the other hand, service was good (The waiter was very kind) until the owner asked us to move to another table in such a rude way (he talked loudly and rudely to the waiter while pointing with his finger on us, which is impolite) instead of arranging empty tables around to fit a group of 6. At first we were happy to see that the menu had lots of different vegan options, although everything looked quite pricey for what it was. We ordered two freshly squeezed orange juices and each had the whole wheat veggie pasta. The menu said the pasta would come with soy sauce, vegetables and peanut butter. The orange juice was delicious but was served in a tiny glass with lots of ice which meant we only got a few sips of actual juice. When the pasta came it looked disappointing (see photo) and tasted even worse. It seemed to be cooked in a dark soy sauce (intense flavour) and was extremely salty. The pasta was only just cooked - I like pasta al dente but this bordered on undercooked. The vegetables were overcooked and the olives were cooked whole and steaming hot inside. The peanut butter, if there was any, must have been applied very sparingly and melted into the soy sauce, as we could not taste it. Overall the meals were so terrible we did not finish them, and we usually would not leave food. The staff asked if we did not like it and I explained politely why it was not good but nonetheless we were served the full bill of around €33. I cannot recommend this place to others and would say it is an overpriced tourist trap. Meal type Lunch Price per person €15–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
