Eating nicely cooked Halusky is what many guests recommend. Here you may order good ale. Most visitors find the staff accommodating. If you want to enjoy enjoyable service, you should visit this restaurant. As a lot of reviewers notice, the atmosphere is spectacular. Ideal place for relax! Perfect localization with an easy access to lake! On top of that beautiful a nice swimming pool (+garden, playground for kids, volleyball/football field) with an amazing view! (where after check out we could enjoy lazy afternoon)!

very nice place with lake view terrace, kind service but that is all :( I ordered traditional slovak meal Bryndzové halušky but sorry it was a tragedy, maybe there was a little bryndza but it was diluted with sauercream (maybe water) I do not know, It was far far ayway from traditional meal, garlic soup was 3/5, chicken with potatoes also not miracle in kitchen, payment with card possible, appropriate prices, 08/2023

Beautiful place for few days stay with family or friends. We stayed at the 2 bedroom cottage. Well equipped, nice and clean with TV in each room and equipped kitchen. Nice sauna to relax. Food at the restaurant was good, prices reasonable. Definitely enjoyed my family stay and will return. No need to look for another hotel at the lake, this resort is absolutely perfect place to stay
The best thing about the visit if the restaurant was the customer service, the waitress was very kind and nice, however, the food was not the best. Overall, we would not eat again what we ordered.
We ate:
1. Chicken breast with Hermelin - I found the chicken dry and, in general, it was pretty dull.
2. Chicken with cheese sauce with potatoes. -
3. Penne - was quite good
4. Burger - not good at all. We almost wanted to give it back as the bun was old and dry, we couldn’t cut it and the burger was dry.
We stopped at Slanicky Dvor to sleep one night and found it very nice and friendly place. Dinner was very good, buffet breakfast as well. Definitely a place to stop at least for the night!
Went for a Sunday lunch in a larger group of 10. Very average or even bellow average quality. For the price, very poor performance. Would not go again. Setting and location are nice though. Maybe for a coffee or some small desert can be ok.
Penzion, aj ked je pri ceste, je v peknom prostredi. Zo zadu je dvor, zahrada, terasa, v lete bazeny a hned aj priehrada, ale to je tak vsetko, neda sa tu nic robit, okrem clnkovania a kupania (hlavne teda v lete). Penzion je pekny, izba jednoduchsia, pekna restauracia. Ale pontecial premrhany. Izby, aspon ta nasa nad restauraciou smrdela od cigariet a kuchyne. V hornej casti restauracie, priamo pod nami bola fajciarska cast, smrdela aj chodba v penzione, miesalo sa to so spalenym olejom z kuchyne. Neviem, ci maju podlahove kurenie, ale na izbe nebol ziadny radiator aj celkom chladno. Postel malá a matrace prilis makke a prelezane. Steny tenke, pocujete kazde slovo susedov, steny aj strop vrzgaju, ked ini hostia chodia ci buchotaju. Pocujete kazde slovo. Tazsie sa zaspava alebo odpociva. Tlak vody bol taky maly, ze ledva sa dalo osprchovat. Restauracia slaby priemer, ranajky totalne o nicom. Šmejd parky, vajicka, maslo, sunka, syr, musli, vsetko v najlacnejsom vybere. Koniec. Nic sladke, zelenina len rajcina a paprika. Najviac ma zarazili priam spinave taniere na ranajkach plne mastnoty a flakov. Obsluha klasicka slovenska, ziadny usmev alebo “nad ochota”. V konecnom dosledku vobec neodporucam tento penzion. Za 60€ za noc mimo sezony som uz bol v ovela lepsich hoteloch ci penzionoch a to nielen na Slovensku. Odisli sme o den skor domov, lebo ten cigaretovy olejovy smrad (aj uteraky boli napachnute) a hluk od susedov ci z chodby bol na nevydrzanie. Na dovolenke si chceme odpocinut.||Pension, even if is near road, is in nice place. Behind is garden, pools, and direct the lake, but there is nothing much to do. Pension is nice, simply rooms, nice restaurant. But the potential is squandered. Rooms, our room stinked with cigarettes and kitchen oil. At the top of restaurant is smoking part, right under our room, so hall stinks as well. It was mixed with burned oil from kitchen. Maybe our room was smoking room, but we do not have this information, but the stink was heavy. There was no heater on the room, maybe was underfloor heating, but was little bit cold. Bed was small, soft matresses, bed-sore, older. Paper walls. You can hear every word of neighbors, every step you feel on walls. Terrible for chilling or sleeping. Restaurant nothing special. Breakfast very simple and bad. Sausages, eggs, musli, cheese, ham, everything in low quality. Nothing sweet, vegetables only tomato and paprika. What was really bad was dirty dishes on breakfast. Service, as in Slovakia. Nothing more as they have to do. So in fact, i do not recommend this pension. For 60€ per night per room, definetely not worth it. We left one night earlier before our holiday end. The noise and the smell in the room was the biggest reason, it could not stand it.
If you driving on the road you might easily miss it. But if you are on the lake and see it on the bank... It's definitely dominant object drawing your attention. Neatly build in traditional style with smallish pools open also for public with restaurant serving traditional dishes of very good quality, this is one of the best if not best places in the area around Orava lake.
Today we traveled from Belgium over Vienna, and then a 4 hour road trip to Namestovo. And after checking in in our hotel, we when to this place that we knew from last year. We had a very good diner, all well served. Good food, in a special decor in Flemish we called it a blokhut.
