They are friendly. But to me, this is the food without soul. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes…especially the pad tai, sticky together and taste like they cooked a lot last night and microwave them before taking out to the table. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

This family run eatery is friendly, casual, and you cannot go wrong with the prices! We sat outdoors and there was a good mix of locals and tourists. The ingredients and produce was very fresh. I had a vegetarian omelet over rice and stir fried water spinach with a tasty soy based sauce - very nice and great values. I highly recommend dining at Six Friends!

This place really hit the spot for me 😀! It was simple but amazing atmosphere and the food was delicious. The food portions were really big and they had tofu, vegetable, and different types of seafood options if you are vegan, vegetarian or pescatarian. Really chilled and friendly family vibes and they make the food in a kitchen right front of you. Really pleasant and would highly recommend if you’re passing through Thakhek. Tasty local food - Great value for money! Everything is 20,000KIP on the menu and it's a family run restaurant. The atmosphere was great with music and we sat outside and ate with other locals and tourists. We had the yellow chicken curry which was unreal and we returned again after we completed the Thakhek loop to eat it again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Super cheap, but my chicken fried rice with vegetables was not very good. In addition, my mango shake had something black in it which may have been mold or something from a previously made drink. I paid 40,000 kip in total for both. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The atmosphere seems to be the main advantage of this place. We ordered food and immediately it turned out that half of what our order was unavailable. Then when order got accepted we waited roughly an hour to be served. Out of 3 things we ordered one was not delivered at all and other was mistaken. I also was not able to eat noodles that were served - it had tons of black pepper in it. Salad was good. We payed for 2 things and left. A piece of advice - do not order anything fancy out of menu - stick to rice. They seem to be accustomed to serve rice dishes and do it faster and possibly of better quality. Absolutely excellent local food! Super tasty, can be spicy on some dishes therefore please mention it. They understand English, no issues. All dishes are 10k-Kip, beer are well. Highly recommended as we all liked our dishes.

My 3rd time watting here and wow wow this was the best Pad thai I have ever had. Slightly different as they do crispy pork which isn't normal but take my advice you need to try it. Family run business all fresh ingredients made to order and have menu in English choose what you want to eat and write down for them. Beers and drinks and wc are available from the house opposite which is part of the restaurant.
