The restaurant has moved around 10 meters further, because they needed to expand. It was really good, best food in Sri Lanka for us till now. The owner is very friendly, and the food she and her people serve is of high quality. Personally I am a big fan of spicy food, and after I told them they made the most lovely food. I’m just going to go ahead and give this place 5 stars because it’s exceptional especially in a tourist driven area such as Sigiriya. I’m not sure of the lovely lady’s name, but she made our experience so memorable we went back twice. I can not recommend the hot garlic chicken or pork. Sooo tasty! The fish curry was good, but the hot garlic dishes were a step above. The dishes arent made spicy ar all, but my hubby and I love spicy food so they were kind of made the dish special for us. The fruit juices were delicious as well. If you’re in the area please, please give this place a visit. It is well worth your while! We had a warm welcome from the owner of the restaurant. The food was the best we have had during our holiday in Sri Lanka. You’ve a lot of choice on the menu. They were so friendly! We’ve been there for lunch and dinner, and both were super! We’ve tried rice and curry, chicken kothu, and grilled fish. The food was delicious and plentiful. There is a row of restaurants next to each other but Wew Thawullas food, hospitality and service was unmatched. Nalakar and Deepika were warm and attentive hosts who served us a wonderful local dinner and breakfast. I would recommend the pork dishes and chicken curry with rice and three types of vegetable preparations (pumpkin, beetroot and mango). For breakfast they specially made us hoppers and appalams with egg curry and sambol. All delicious.
