Bernardo was a great host who provided extensive recommendations to his personal favourites and our personal needs. We tried the African Rice and the tiger prawns, alongside the ribeye steak which was beautifully cooked in addition to the sweet potato fries. The prawns were shaped in a heart and opened, allowing ease of access out of the shell. We discovered this place on our first day in Portugal. Service was fantastic. Very friendly waiters that helped us with anything we enquired about or needed. Food was cooked to perfection. We ordered the tomahawk steak for 2 with sides and garlic prawns. Seasoning and flavours were out of this world. Sangria was beautiful too (maybe too good 😅) 10/10 will definitely be returning. The best food and service in town! The grilled chicken is to die for! Good selection of wines. Really nice decor🐃 Also the staff are great and will go extra mile for you! All speak fluent english which is great (English is my second language) Cannot praise it enough😁👌 We will definately be back next year! The spare ribs were more than amazing, tender and delicious. The lamb chops are embarrassing, they don’t know how to make it. So dry even though the quality of the meat is good. Banoffee and Apple crumble below standard and below expectation. Ambience is good. Staff need training because they don’t know what is grilled/fried/roasted but they are friendly with good service. Very well prepared dishes, steaks were especially great. Waiter was excellent, deserves more than 5 stars. We were the only patrons dining, so the atmosphere was unfortunately dull, but no fault of the restaurant. Lovely decor. Highly recommended. Very long wait. Pork ribs were bad but beef is very nice. Making a reservation is probably best. Had a reservation there so getting a table was easy, some people got turned away. They did not have the initial 2 choices we wanted. Even though they are in their specials category. The restaurant was full and very loud. We had to wait for about an hour and a half for the main course! The coke was warm but at least I got some ice... that all melted way before I got to eat. The BBQ ribs, even though it's their "special", seemed just like oven grilled ribs with Heinz BBQ sauce on top. Very dry and bland. The potatoes were soggy and sad. I usually finish the meal even if I don't particularly enjoy it, out of respect for the labour and the ingredients. But the potatoes were too bad and the pork too dry. From the positives: beef skewer with shrimp was very good. Even thought it was not medium like we ordered but rather rare. The staff is attentive and nice, everyone I spoke to was very sweet. Overall it was a weird experience, the lights went off like 3 times during the visit, maybe that accounts for the quality of my meal. But despite all this I might still give this place another try to taste their stakes. I really hope they improve... at least the fries. Maybe I will fix my review next time. Walked into this restaurant to get a table. The place is half empty, three staffs working in the bar area which is fine and we can wait for few minutes. No staff on the floor and the front. I think seven minutes has passed and they were still in the bar (not only one, but THREE staffs) and of course they have seen us waiting there. Funny enough most of the table have their meals & drinks served and there was customer kept looking at us and wondering what was the three staffs doing in the bar and pretending not seen us. We decided not to wait because the staffs were not interested. It's not even late night, only 7.30 pm. We ended up having a nice meal and great customer services and hospitality in the restaurant down the lane way not too far away.
