I waiting until I completed my Zanzibar holiday to write this review. Out of all the eating experiences we had (from Stone Town street food to the famous Rock restaurant) this place was inspiring. Salim the owner treated us to the most delicious lobster and seafood we have ever had around the world. On our second visit, despite being a seafood restaurant, he cooked up a mouth watering goat ribs and leg roast with his own unique marinade. This place the the real soul and essence of Zanzibar! Make at least one visit and see for yourselves. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I tried lobster, octupus curry, and swahili salad. Everything was fresh and tasty. It was quite a way from my hotel, but was totally worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Kendwa! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We found this place in google and it’s even better that we’ve expected. It’s true that it looks modest from the outside but come on, it’s a local restaurant in Africa! The important part is that everything is fresh and they use bottled water for smoothies. The food is delicious, portions are good. We’ve asked if we can have lobster for dinner and they’ve bought them especially for us. Very nice and kind people, really great cook so highly highly recommend. I also think it’s very important to support local businesses so we would prefer it hundred times before any place owned by foreigners.

Amazing food, great prices, best seafood you can get in town. Location is a little further down the road than google maps shows (at the time of writing this) May update soon. This was the most incredeble experience , honestly we finde this pace by tiktok and i call them and Salim was really accommodate open to my request . We came 2 time firts a wonderful sea food pleas try the lobsters amazing so much flavor .. zanzibar flavour but if you need a more calm version just say to him and he will do for you . . The secon day we want meat he did the most wonderful ribs really a explosion of flavor and so juicy. Really we talk alot and is so beautiful see the amazing pasion for food ,love and care he put . The worest experience in Zanzibar. The restaurant is located on a street corner and has very poor environment. We had to ask the waiter to wipe the table again because there was a layer of dust on it. The frying pan for French fries is on the ground near the street. NOT FRESH! NOT FRESH! NOT FRESH! We have rest in Kendwa 🏝 and visit this restaurant every evening. Seafood very fresh, there are also lot of different delicious foods 🦀🦐🥑🫑🌶😋. The best tests octopus (better then in ather restaurants)🐙. By the way u can order any fish in the morning for dinner. Also we like fresh juice 🍍🥭. And ofcource the best prices!!! We are also very glad to meet super friendly and nice owner Salim! Only highly recommended 👌👍😉💯
