Our experience here are great! Very tasty food with big portion and affordable price. I ordered seafood udon which had perfectly seasoned with finely cooked fried calamari and prawn (so soft and fresh) and my husband who was always a bit skeptic with japanese cuisine (since he is not fish and seafood friendly) was surprised to the taste of their chilli chicken that was very tasty (its a big thing if he can say that). The service was awesome, friendly staff not complicated at all. We will be back again one day if we ever staying in Sliema/visiting Malta. Highly recommended ♥️♥️ Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Located next door to Ichiban a sister company, this worked out great for my fussy teenagers as my son grabbed a burger and fries from next door while 3 of us ordered from Sakura. Located in a quiet spot opposite the promenade in Sliema close to St Julian’s The screens provide up to the minute news that provide lots of talking points during your meal There are plenty of table types to chose from too. We tried the Chicken Katsu Don Chicken Teriyaki Don Chilli chicken All came with rice in generous sized bowls. Tasty and well presented We enjoyed fast service Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €15–20

Atmosphere and food was great but it took about 20-30 mins to arrive and there was no salmon at all. Over all an acceptable place with kind staff and amazing food but bad service. Would recommend if you don’t have anything planned for the evening. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Sashimi Salmon

We went very early on a Friday night. The place was packed! We didn’t have very long to wait for a table though. The food and sauce were delicious. My first time here. I’ll go back again for sure. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Decent food, prices and especially atmosphere should be adjusted. After some confusion surrounding our drinks order we received the appetizers we intended to share: dumplings and spica tuna rolls. They were okay but far from special and in that way turned out to be overpriced. The main courses were at the same level and I must add they were very generous portions. We couldn't finish them and ended up taking the leftovers home. The staff was friendly to give us some packaging. My Curry Tori Katsu was good, although the breaded chicken wasn't homemade in my opinion. The chicken U-don noodle soup was quite good as well, especially the richness of the broth. The interior and atmosphere have almost nothing asian to them, which is a shame. For example the tv screens showing sports games are really out of sorts. Even though the staff is friendly and accommodating, there is some chaos going on, one notices quickly. And so overall the experience seems rather overpriced. The place has potential though, with some adjustments.
This is my favourite Japanese restaurant on the island. The rolls are a great size and the ambience is truly fantastic. A great variety of foods on offer, so if raw sushi is not your thing, the variety will make even large groups happy.
