The atmosphere was amazing. I had the crunch roll and salmon sushi. Something was off about it. I can't even tell you what. There was 6 tables occupied and one waiter. He was running around by himself. 3 star experience. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

1 star is very generous for this location. I have been to the research forest location several times and always had an amazing experience. I happened to be in the neighborhood and brought my family into the Indian Spring location. A serious mistake that I won’t make again. Edamame tasted old, they served my daughter the wrong meal, had incorrect items on my plate of cold food (the waiter took the mistake plate and dumped the fried rice on my plate on top of the incorrect items that I was initially served), and gave my son half of his order. There was one other table with patrons when we arrived but all of the tables around the restaurant were all dirty for our entire meal (until they saw me taking pics.) The server was slow and became rude (rolling his eyes when I asked for a box). We asked for water for one of our kids and instead of getting him a new glass of water, he poured water into his soda glass. Terrible service. Old and cold food. Someone please come and inspect this place. The end experience was the best… I asked the waiter why they charged me a tip after the poor experience we had he said with a smirk “because we charge that to every party of 5 or more” and I said “even after the poor experience we had?!” They took one of the meals off (the meal that was wrong to begin with) then went on to charge me a tip for nearly the exact price of the meal. I admit, I was mad and left him a strongly worded note on the check which I kind of felt bad about until he came to my table to take the check book and snatched it out of my hand really hard. I have never had such poor service in my entire life! I was a server for years when I was younger and never would I ever treat customers the way this establishment did myself and my family. Absolutely disgusting. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
One of my favorite places in the Woodlands. I used to live across the street and would visit Sakekawa at least once a week. Their Hibachis are perfectly cooked. I usually get the steak and shrimp with fried rice. Veggies are always cooked to perfection. And the ginger sauce is my favorite. I dip everything in it. Staff is very friendly. I took friends here to celebrate. Unfortunately, We did not have such a good time at this location. Unlike other Hibachi places, it felt like they cooked for 10 people and shared it among 20 (paying) people. The portions were so little everyone went home hungry and grumpy. The bill was also ridiculously high… Nope.
When we walked in, we noticed the decor and mood lighting, which were very nice. My daughter and I both ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box. It was a lot of food for a $12.95 lunch special. The food was alright, nothing to write home about. One of the servers seemed to be very scatterbrained and kind of all over the place, leaving our server to handle more tables than he probably should have had to. Overall, I’d probably give it another shot, but maybe on a weekday when not as busy so the staff that is scheduled is not so overwhelmed.
I ordered 3 large fried rice and I got them in the small containers. I get that inflation is hitting us hard, but don’t lower the portions and keep the same price! Charge more if you need to, but now we don’t have enough for everyone because the portions are significantly smaller. That being said, they still taste as amazing as always.
Sad to share there was a cockroach inside of my sake bottle while eating there one Sunday during happy hour. They did deduce the sake bottle’s price off the bill but I just remembered this happened and still think about me almost drinking a roach U_U. Sushi was good though. Go elsewhere for hibachi. My daughter ordered steak hibachi. To her surprise steak hibachi is mostly mushrooms with some steak. After she dug out the mushrooms and tried the steak, it was extremely tough. When we told our waiter, he said all hibachi's come with mushrooms (not true) and refused to accommodate my daughter. I asked for the manager and she insisted the steak hibachi always came with mushrooms. I asked her how should customers know this if it's their first visit and the menu doesn't state mushrooms are part of the dish. The manager responded we'll know this on our next visit. Never again will we visit this restaurant- horrible customer service and a menu which doesn't accurately describe the main ingredients in the dish. I'm not one to complain but this is the worst restaurant experience I've had in The Woodlands. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

The food and service was impeccable very delightful place. The chefs are very well, trained and good at their performances, as well as their cooking. The only downside is they don’t speak Japanese. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
