Matcha ice cream is a delightful and unique dessert that has gained popularity worldwide. Made from finely ground green tea leaves, matcha powder is responsible for the distinct vibrant green color and earthy, slightly bitter flavor of this frozen treat.
Here are some aspects to comment on matcha ice cream:
1. Flavor: The flavor of matcha ice cream is a perfect balance between sweet and slightly bitter. The earthy notes of the green tea are complemented by the creaminess of the ice cream, creating a refreshing and satisfying taste.
2. Aesthetic appeal: The vibrant green color of matcha ice cream is visually appealing and can make it stand out among other ice cream flavors. It's not just delicious but also visually enticing.
3. Health benefits: Matcha is known for its potential health benefits, as it contains antioxidants and nutrients from the whole tea leaves. While ice cream is generally considered a treat, having matcha as the base ingredient adds a touch of nutrition to the indulgence.
4. Unique experience: For those who appreciate green tea and Japanese cuisine, matcha ice cream offers a unique and culturally enriching dessert experience. It's a great way to introduce people to the taste of matcha if they haven't tried it before.
5. Versatility: Matcha ice cream can be enjoyed on its own or paired with other desserts like mochi, waffles, or even as an ingredient in a matcha milkshake. Its versatility allows for a variety of culinary creations.
6. Dairy and vegan options: Matcha ice cream is available in both traditional dairy-based versions and vegan alternatives made with plant-based milks like coconut or almond milk. This inclusiveness allows a wider range of people to enjoy this delicacy.
7. Seasonal appeal: Matcha ice cream is enjoyable year-round, but it's particularly refreshing during the summer months, offering a cooling and flavorful escape from the heat.
Overall, matcha ice cream is a delightful fusion of Japanese tradition and frozen dessert innovation, making it a favorite for those who love the taste of green tea and enjoy exploring new and exotic flavors. Whether you're a matcha enthusiast or just curious to try something different, it's definitely worth experiencing this delightful frozen treat.

The quality of this sushi is definitely something special. We ordered the Ceviche Imperial and the Fusion sushi Combo.
What a delight!
The ceviche is really a wonder to the senses, with scallops, shrimp, salmon, white fish, finely sliced shallot, sesame seeds and fish eggs.
The sushi combo was also exquisite. Each piece has its own special texture and touch of delight. Truly pleasure inducing food.
The atmosphere is clean, cosy and inviting. There is an outside space as well, with nighttime heaters.
I didn’t give Saiko five stars because it took quite a long time for the food to arrive to our table, and because the waiter was alone and clearly had too much work on her hands.

Wanted to like this place after all the pictures posted, but my experience was poor. I found hair all over the tablecloth, and the waitress rudely told me it was from my clothes instead of apologising graciously. The sushi was also not great- many better places around so save your money! Way too expensive for what you get.
Sleek, modern decor, friendly staff and exceptional sushi! Everything was fresh and so tasty. Highly recommend the sliced cucumber starter and the hotate - so delicious!!

Lunch menu is fairly reasonably priced. It's not well recognised on Google and to the date we visited was not even on the map. I advised the restaurant. Not up to par with the best of them in this area though for the price the lunch menu is well served. For authentic or more elaborate sushi (western style as it's not like this in Japan) we prefer the choice in the big city!
