The food and atmosphere at the restaurant used to be wonderful, and I’ve been a fan until today.
I used to visit for lunch, understanding that it’s not very crowded during that time, making it suitable for outdoor seating. However, today, I chose the restaurant for dinner with a friend. The staff greeted us warmly, as always, but they asked if we had made a reservation before arriving, which we hadn’t. Personally, I didn’t think a dinner reservation would be necessary.
However, the staff told us we could only sit inside because all the tables were fully booked (this was at 6:00 PM). While we enjoyed our dinner, the service, and the atmosphere until 8:30 PM (close to closing time), there were very few customers. There was only our table and one other. By 9:00 PM, there were just two tables occupied.
I don’t know if there was a reason behind but I felt somewhat disappointed with the service. It seemed like a form of discrimination, treating locals differently from foreigners. All we wanted was to sit outside and enjoy the weather.
It’s unfortunate to receive such service at a restaurant I once loved. Sadly, this time, I cannot leave a tip, and I must say it might be my last visit. My actions won’t have a significant impact on the restaurant, but I want to make it clear that I cannot support a place that practices this kind of discrimination against local patrons.
We have the means to dine at your restaurant; we are not struggling tourists. It’s truly disappointing, and I hope the owner takes notice.

It's a place with lovely design that takes you back to 1931 how Luangphrabang houses looked like how they were built well preserved garden with trees.
The foods top notch and served with right combination of flavors.
If you come to Luangphrabang a must visit place.

A beautiful lao traditional house with garden, a very good staff and service, a very good what so ever tasty meat(s) combined with a poor side vegetables or frozen french fries or gratin dauphinois...unfortunately. Nevertheless a place to go definitely. Don't miss the : cafe de Paris beef steak

From the ambience to the personality of the owner, everything was very welcoming and warm. On top of the amazing food the architecture and the craftsmanship of certain ornaments and decorations marveled me. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who is in the mood to try fusion cuisine and enjoy the quite side of Luang Phrabang.
