After a long trip to Tauranga we stopped by for our brunch at Royal Bites. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Had Goat Curry with Rice and Roti and a couple of Masala Dosa. The goat was tender and succulent and tasted quite good complemented by the rice and roti. Then we ordered Masala dosa just to try something new and I’m glad we did, it was one of the best Indian vegan dish that we tried!!! Great portions and great food. Poor experience with restaurant. I ordered cholle bhature. Cholle is good. 5 star for cholle but bhature was worse. Before order i tell them that i use to eat delhi style bhature. Tried their Afghani Tikka( Starter) which is good in taste. Their Kulcha bread are soft and delicious. However, felt Garlic naan's are bit dry. Curry was ok! Highly disappointed in Hyderabadi Dum Biryani as it's not a biryani at all. Anyways, they got many other items in the Menu to try for....👍

Delicious food and great customer service. We were a group of 5 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We had spring rolls, masala dosa, noodles, fried rice, and chole bhature with their delicious Falooda. We even took 4 Faloodas takeaway. I never do reviews but this is the most underrated Indian in the BOP I’ve never had such a unique and delicious Indian. The dosa was a 10/10, they season their food impeccably and the service was very friendly and accommodating. If you like Indian food and you’re in the Tauranga area, it’s definitely worth going. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great food and affordable prices. Butter chicken is a must try at this place. If you are looking for Authentic Indian taste, then Royal Bites is probably the answer. Masala Dosa and Vadapav is what I tried and definitely the best in town.

I started ordering from this place as soon as it opened. For first 3 times i ordered quantity and quality was good but this time the quantity was very bad. Half filled and full price paid. The taste was good but the quantity didn't match up. I called regarding the issue and the lady seemed to be rude. The chef was nice however didn’t give any compensation. Told me will fill it up to top when next time i order and didn't even write my name down to remember. P.S. i told the lady there were no toasts in tomato soup and looked like just tomato paste, she replied “we don’t put toasts inside tomato soup and this is not India.” Hence, i doubt if it is Indian food restaurant.
