A rare place where the Instagramable place matched the quality of the food. Love it❤️ Cosy and spacious, it can only be done by someone who has pride and passion in the place and what is served. The serene background music feels more like a spa. Perfect place to hang out. The food is of high quality and at very reasonable price in such ambience. A mixed of Malay and Asian dishes served. There are so many options of kombucha too. Cakes looks so good but too full to try. Will be back. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's a great place overall. But the food was quite disappointing. I ordered chicken teriyaki and it didn't taste like teriyaki. The vegetable were lacking in seasoning. Maybe they were trying to go for the "healthy taste?" The drink was good tho. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Loveeee the nasi ulam with chicken. The only thing I would like to see improve is the portion of chicken is small, perhaps they could have a regular and large meal size option 🙏🏻 also the nasi dagang is only available Fri-Sun, do take note to avoid disappointment but have the nasi ulam anyway! :) Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Roots Nasi Ulam
Some people have described the food as being pricey but I think it's reasonably priced for the quality, taste, quantity and the fact that they are from organically grown produce. Although the menu is a little limited, you can tell how much thought is being put in creating each and every dish and there is enough dishes available for suit different palates. My favourite is the Vietnamese beef noodles which are only available of Fridays and weekends. I love the ambience of this place as it has a cheerful and comfortable cafe-like feel to it. It's nice to have a place like this in Kuantan. I highly recommend the owners to expand their menu and services for brunch as well.
Small portions but fair priced. Food tasted good. Ambience relaxing and inviting. Staff very courteous. What a nice place to visit after a day at the beach. Highly recommended

Yummy pineapple kombucha!! I feel like the food tasted good and healthy. I can't appreciate taste of MSG in the food. Environment is also calm and cool. A lot of handmade items esp from beads and batik sold as well. Waiters and waitresses are very respectful and helpful. Didn't finish my kombucha and brought home the whole bottle with addition of RM1 only. Should have bought more....
Had a delicious lunch experience at Roots. Loved the herb and root packed rice. It’s as colourful as it is tasty and pairs perfectly with the delicious chilies and curry sauces. Fantastic vegan and vegetarian options left us wanting for nothing as my wife could choose tempeh whereas I could indulge in the succulent and perfectly seasoned crunchy oven-baked chicken. For drinks we had a lovely unsweetened macha latte and one of their refreshing homemade Kombuchas! Bravo, until next time. 😊 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love their nasi ulam! But their soto aren’t similar to what we usually have at the south of Msia (full of spice like those in Indonesia) and realize this dish is just very commonly light taste at Kuantan like 清汤。Not gonna reduce the star based on the difference due to respect to their culture. They have vegetarian variety as well. Great place with wonderful comfort food. Their kombucha is a MUST TRY! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Hit: Spacious and top notch staff team. Vietnamese beef pho - good portion, well presented. My mum loves it. Americano - great coffee with hint of sour. Pricing on menu need update It is RM7. (Menu RM6) Somtam - not overpowered by fish sauce. Good not to have dried shrimps. Not too spicy Just Delish and refreshing. Miss: Chicken served with nasi ulam. Nasi ulam is delish on it’s own and sambal+crackers. Basmati rice is fluffy with coconut carrot floss. Let down by very over fried chicken. Very dry and boney. I’ve got the end bit of chicken wing. Don’t know the name of yellow gravy drowned the chicken. (Wouldn’t order this again) Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 20–40
Great place to eat sustainably-grown organic food that's healthy, but still full of flavour. The ulam rice and tilapia noodle soup were yummy. Loved their homemade kombucha, especially the pineapple. For dessert, the chocolate chip cookie is a must-try - the chocolate chips are huge and gooey! You can also support the local community by buying the homemade products on display like cold-pressed soaps, natural skincare products, accessories and clothes. Wish we had a place like this in JB. 👍
