Food comes in good portion, good service a bit crowded and tightly spaced tables. The nachos had a disproportionate level of chips cheese and cream salsa, way too much cheese that becomes a bit rubbery. The ribs were good but not the best I have tasted yet. The fries came in huge portion. The burgers I guess are the speciality of the house.

On Friday, 10 November 2023, my family and I went to the restaurant to get dinner. We ordered The Gamer, Slacker Burger, Slaw Daddy and Fries To Share, and man, can I tell you, to my great disgust and disappointment. The Slaw Daddy's chicken fillet not only tasted as if it was fried in last year's oil, but it was so dry and hard. The Gamer patties were dry and tasteless too. Now, let's talk about the Slacker. Patties were dry and it looked as if the "Chef" had scraped every piece of the patties that had broken off on the griddle together and piled it on those patties. It was absolutely disgusting. The patties were so dry and hard that it you literally struggled to bite into the burger and swallowing it was such a painful process. The chips - DRY. We eventually ended up throwing that entire R400 into the dustbin - Literally. I've never been this disappointed with a RocoMamas meal before. That was a R400 that we could've spent elsewhere and had a decent meal for the night. I don't think I'd ever go back to any RocoMamas restaurant again. This experience was just too disappointing.

Wow wow what a pleasant experience to be served by Perfect (Mpendulo) it was our first time at Newmarket Rocomamas and he made us fall in love with the place and food. He regularly checked on us,very friendly and the food was RocoLicious *chef’s kiss* . You will definitely enjoy the dining experience here.

The food was really good. We were pleased with the service. Came for the Triple treat and every course was brought in quick, there was no long wait. Jimi Hendrix was an excellent sever and super nice.

Jimi Hendrix was our waitress, I must say he provided an exceptional service, a full five stars. In fact five stars do not do Jimi any justice to the service he provided. Unlike most waitresses/waiters he always shows a smile, always provides more than you need.

Totally love Rocomamas... There's always something different to try on the menu. Never disappointed at any branch. The service here was great. Waiters are always friendly. Nice lively vibe and always a good crowd. Tried their red bull spritzer which was quite good. Foods always prepared well and great portions.
Since its initial heyday, I feel that RocoMamas has somewhat lost the plot a little when it comes to their burgers.
I really don't know what it is but I feel it has to do with the acquisition and expansion of this franchise that has cost them the great flavour and taste that one used to expect from their burgers.
They do have quite a spread of burger options though.
That being said the store is pretty good, with great staff to assist you.
Milkshakes are also pretty descent.
The App is pretty useless and so is their website, not friendly or intuitive as one would expect.
Cannot order online? Like in this day and age. Their loyalty programme sucks, you can never ever get points even when scanning the bill you just paid.
