The atmosphere is good, the waiters are nice as well, but food.. expected way more from the restaurant like this. The tomato soup was too salty, the prosciutto pizza.. nothing interesting the the meat wasn’t even original Italian prosciutto but Slovak salami.. was disappointed. Hope next time to order something different and maybe it would be better. In general, the place is good and cute. Delicious as usual. We found out Da Cono recently and already been 3 times this month. The special menu is really full of variety and you get to choose from large number of pasta and how they are prepared. Convenient parking directly in front of the restaurant is available and also possible for bigger groups to reserve in advance in a separate part of the restaurant - strongly recommending to pay a visit.
The best thing we had was dessert. The price-performance ratio was, otherwise, rather weak. Starting with the interior, it feels older and kind of cheaply furnished. The menus, logos and all the fonnts felt too old, like from the 90s (not in a good way). To that, radio-hits too mainstream to fit the atmosphere were played randomly and loudly by the radio. The food… was not cheap but the quality and taste didn’t reflect that. The mushroom soup felt like reheated or with too much water, instead, though, with quite a lot of pepper. The tomato soup was ok just a bit too sour, like from a concentrate. Lasagnas were full of huge chunks of mozzarella, the meat was ok just a bit dry, with a mushroom sauce that was split. We also had mussels on wine but the sauce was watery with very little wine to be felt. A positive was the dry pizza side as well as Pavlova and chestnut cloud cake. For the price we paid, the quality should be higher. If the food was 30 % cheaper, it would be annacceptable value. The staff was cold-ish but reasonably polite. I’d go somewhere else next time.
The food is great ...really great... pizza...specials...salads...seafood...name it. Still the interior needs a redesign to 21 century. Staff was great even we came late.
