Went here for lunch with a friend. It’s next to the river and yesterday the levels were quite high. Indeed, au bord de la mer. You need reservations. There’s a lift for those who have a disability or just too lazy to climb a flight of stairs. We got a table by the river so it was a nice experience. Wait staff polite and discreet. You won’t get the feeling that you’re rushed or anything. You can take your time pondering the menu and just when you’re ready, they appear out of nowhere. The food is ok, basically Italian with pizzas, pastas, meat, and seafood. I did not really know what to eat so I settled for spaghetti bolognese- a humongous portion that seemed bottomless. You can, however, take the rest home which was a relief. Price wise, a bit pricey my spaghetti was 15 euros. Oh well, I probably would not go all the way to Grevenmacher to eat Italian, but I guess it’s pleasant to be out there in summer. The went to this place during the weekend as we had business in the region just so that we can get rejected by the waiter telling us there was no place available for 2 people when the restaurant was literally empty on a Saturday night!! Even though we explicitly said that we will not stay more than 40-50mins they still told us that without reservation we cannot stay. Absolute joke. Very high quality food and nice professional waiters with good sense of humor. Some drawbacks are the acoustic we were a larger group and after a few hours you get a headache. The tables are also far too small for the size of the plates and numerous side dishes which ends up making it a bit uncomfortable. The size of the dishes are far too big. Entrances are like main dishes in other restaurants and main dishes make you think everybody eats like ogres or what ? Ok you can take leftovers with you but many don't and in the current economic and ecological context it is a shame to make people waste good and high quality food like this. Also there is so much in your plate that by the time you get to eat it it has become cold (meat pieces, potatoes or pasta) which is a second waste. If they want to serve so much well give people a normal portion and then come back with next portions if some want more so at least it is still warm. If they adapt the way of serving I could give a 4 or even 5 star. As location, large parking, elevator, sanitary for lesser mobility is all very good.
