Unfortunately I only had time for a soup so I went with the tomato one. Delicious, rich flavor, really good. Place was almost empty though (Saturday 6pm). Staff was nice, place looks really good too. Overall definitely recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We were today at the Retro Bar for Dinner. The Restaurant is located close the the old town of Trencin. As food we took Garlic Soup a Classic Burger and a Cesar Salad. The food food overall was good. Ambient: 4 Service: 4 Food: 4 Price: 5 Location: 5 Overall 4,6 We will come back. Update 07.06.2023 Food is still good and the Service has not changed. Overall still a good location to go. Tasty food, big enough portions. Waitresses didn’t speak English but the menu was in English so no problem with ordering. Had to wait longer for the main dishes but overall good experience. Bad service. Waitress did not speak a word in english. They do not have any menu in english at all. Ordering is a lottery. After ordering, I didnt know what I will get....I ordered something randomly.

The service has been extremely slow. We have ordered three soups and three main courses. We got the drinks and soups relatively fast, but then waited for more than ONE HOUR to get two fried cheeses and one salad. During that time we experienced three various waiters at our table, not mentioning that they came two times after we finished soups and didn’t take away the used dishes. The taste of food was meh - the cheese had really no taste, same for fries, you have to use a lot of salt to feel something. The soup was made out of boullion. Highly recommended restaurant! Service very nice and the food was amazing. If you want nice food in Trencin you definitely need to come here. Beef tartar was made with high quality of meat and taste was really good. Just the toasted bread was little bit more oily to my taste. Steak was very tasty same as traditional dumplings stuffed with traditional Slovak cheese. Coming back to this place again for sure.
