While traveling to any Asian country my favourite dishes are the soups with noodles etc. It was very tasty and a bit spicy and enough to fill up the stomach. The juice was also tasty Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Soup

Ordered a plate of chicken kway tiao and watermelon juice. Really flavorful! And kway tiao portion was generous. Food and drinks were not pricey. Service staff were polite and well verse in Englishm There's WIFI too if you need it. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person RM 20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This review is for the Restoran Panataran situated beside the “box hotel” 1km away from kinabalu park entrance. The food here is okay for a place located at kundasang and comes with reasonable pricing. Do order the rice dishes instead of kuey teow soup, the soup was lacking taste and quite bland. The rice dishes were alright, they open from 7am-7pm. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 1–20

Ordered Chinese fried rice and panataran fried kuew teow. Fried rice was alrite and noodles were okay as I had higher expectation of the taste. More variety here compared in kundasang town itself so that made me happier. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 1–20
Good, hearty food at reasonable prices. For many of the dishes you can choose the size of your portions on the menu. We ordered a bunch of dishes and shared it. The beef noodle soup had plenty of meat and noodles. Very filling meal for before or after a nature trek.

The food is okay. If you are a Teh C lover, refrained yourself from ordering it. This place is really cold. Bring your jacket. You might get distracted with the cars passing by while you are eating. They do not serve alcohol. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person RM 1–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
It can get busy on weekends and holiday season as it was situated on the main road from the western coast to the eastern coast of Sabah. The price was okay, considering it was quite far from nearby town. The food was great especially Panataran Fried Kueh Teow, with big portion enough portion for me. It's good & budget place to eat near Kinabalu Park. Seats are limited and the view towards the valley below are beautiful on a clear day.

Those like Chinese foods, maybe this is the place, I tried the food here, it just tasted so so. But what's interesting about the drink is they prepares milk separately, so we can custom drink it ourselves .

I order a few dishes. The panataran fried rice is great. Easy choice if you do not want to think much. The tomyam was bad. Mushroom chicken soup was normal. Overall, it’s a normal dinner place.

very nice cozy family run restaurant with local dishes (with great variety of Chinese Malay or Western dishes as well). they have a real, legit kitchen (unlike some of the other lodges here) with extensive menu selection and reasonable price for the quality. highly recommend the spicy fish dish ("Asam Pedas Ikan" - dish on the right in photo; don't worry it's not too spicy). The other dish is a refreshing sour fish salad with dried fish on top (Hivana Ikan).
