Ordered a pasta dish and it took a long time to prepare (40 minutes at least) The antipasti dish was served fairly quickly though. The waiter was apologetic and gave us some free chocolate because we had to wait so long. Otherwise the food was tasty when it did arrive. Seems to be a popular place!

La vita e Bella
This is a review, only being here once. I was highly recommended to go to this place by the hotel I was staying at and by locals. What’s cool about this place. It’s off the beaten Path. It’s hidden in an alley, and you might not be able to find it if you walk past a little alley.
I’ve noticed that not many people here smile in this town, and especially this restaurant.
I tried to order a cocktail, and they have none of the cocktails that are on the menu.
The ambience is cozy and relaxed, hidden in between a bunch of buildings. But I like it, and I like the music that they are playing.
Unfortunately, we were sitting in the back corner. I could smell the sewer system, it kind of turned me off to eating food. But I will still try my best to give an honest review.
Even though Customer Service came without a smile, it was fast.
I ordered the carbonara pasta and the pepperoni pizza. Both were amazing! This is the best pizza I’ve had in Nicaragua. It is made with fresh ingredients and real pepperoni and cheese is high-quality. The pasta tasted exactly like the pasta I had in Italy. I would highly recommend this place to eat their food! I couldn’t finish the pizza, and they gave me a paper bag to put the pizza in. Which kind of sucks if you throw a bunch of pizza slices in a bag but whatever the food was amazing.
I understand that they are against plastic, but they do have paper boxes for pizza. But I love them for trying to save the planet.
Again, I would highly recommend this place to eat the pasta and Pizza, fast, customer service, and great ambiance.
Great Italian restaurant in Matagalpa. The beef carpaccio is super different and tasty, pizzas are very good! Thin using great ingredients. It’s always a pleasure to eat here and see the prices are such a great value for the money! 🙌

It's good pizza! The service is good and the portions are great for the money.
Atmosphere is also nice, but it can be crowded on the weekends (which is good for them!) kinda hard to find as it's down an alleyway, but it's a nice find in Matagalpa.
Probably the best restaurant in Matagalpa for good reason. I came here twice and enjoyed both a calzone and the ravioli. Definitely go with the meat ravioli if you’re a carnivore. The food is fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is amazing. And service is top-notch. The owner Tino is super cool and will ensure your meal is top notch.
Honestly not sure where else you can go in the whole departamento to get better pizza - this is the spot! Great selection of Italian food, quick service and beautiful open second floor area, also saw 1-2 signs promoting women’s and LGBTQ+ rights, this is where you should put your money 🤑
Delish!!! Pizza was delicious, we got the JB and mixed 1/2 the pizza. Definitely competing with our other two special pizza places. Crust was excellent and just baked right!!! Now dessert tiramisu and salami dessert, yummy 😋
