Every restaurants you go to they do the same thing they put butter and cheese on the table if you want to eat it you can. But if you don't want to eat the appetizer they will not charge you. Great food best customer service number one. Best part dog friendly outside they gave water to my french bulldog. They are always on top of you when you need anything.... I have been reading some of the bad reviews and once again people thinks that all restaurant are all the same. For the last 17 years I have been coming here and have not ever been treated better. We are six people and a dog we enjoy this place thanks Daniel for the great experience. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

SCAMMER restaurant. The food is barely acceptable. Furthermore, as soon as you arrive, on more than one occasion they give you starters that you did not order and then charge you for it. Even the butter Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Restaurante Daniel is a place where they put butter, cheese and bread on your table within 10 seconds you sit down, within 10 minutes they take everything away without asking and give you your orders, plate had very tiny portions but that aside, potatoes was burned and meat was hell dried out, we chose plates under $10.00 each from the menu, for 4 of us the bill was over 80 Euro 💶 because every single bread and butter and even take out boxes was charged. Ridiculous. Owner don’t even have the decency to come over to our table to talk to us when we asked about the bill, he was eating on another far table and yelling out words. We were stunned and as tourists, it was a sad end to our day trip to Fatima. I wouldn’t recommend this place, I believe there’s plenty of honest restaurants around. This one’s not.

Food was stale and flavorless. Really didn’t like how they put olives, cheese, butter, and bread out then make you pay for it (cheese was 4.80€ and stale) Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2

We were walking down the street looking for a place to eat, and this gentleman (owner I believe) approached us to come in and try his restaurant that we wouldn't be disappointed. Don't be fooled by what people say to you, make your own decisions and don't listen to his nonsense. I regret I've accepted. Food was below average, main dish prices are reasonable, however the starters, nibbles that he brings to the table without asking you, prices are outrageous, 15€ for a couple of olives, butter and bread. Anyways, my advice is don't pay for what you haven't asked for, it's a tourist trap, they will profit from this very clever scam. Not recommended. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Do not be fooled by the ‘nice’ owner! He may not speak English but he surely knew what he was doing: scamming customers. Food kept coming even if we did not order them. It was foolish of us to keep eating but we clearly said, no wine, and we also firmly declined dessert. However, the owner himself kept serving us. At the end of the meal (food was actually okay), we saw that our bill was at least double what we expected (it was €75 for 3 people who ordered a dish each for €13 or less). Even in Portugal, a No should be a No but it seems Daniel doesn’t respect that. This should not be the first choice for food in Fatima. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €20–25
I can't believe I fell in this tourist trap, 4 people, one beer each and a coffee 37€, because they charge for every topping that was already on the table, please be careful not to fall by the charm of the owner, he will lure you in and as soon as you seat u already own him money. My go to restaurant whenever I am in Fátima. Food is good, the service is good. A little in your face but not pushy... AND you get a discount in the neighbouring gift shop - local artisans and religious stuff.
