My friend and I decided to dine here for the 1st time. The staff immediately attended to us pulled out our chairs and made us feel very welcome. I ordered a bottle of Corona but I was given a can. I explained that I don't like cans of beer and I will take a mineral water instead. One of the staff, or it may have been the manager asked if I would still like a bottle of corona I said yes and he went down the street and came back with a bottle of Corona for me. There are so many dishes to choose from on the menu I couldn't decide what to have so I opened the reviews to take a look at pictures and recommendations. We saw the reviews were not great so we decided to just play it safe and order chicken wings and a portion of fries to share from the appetizer menu and if we were still hungry we would eat somewhere else. The food arrived and it was DELICIOUS 😋 The wings were crispy and tasty and the fries were good too so we decided to order a main course which was the meat sharing platter. It was HUGE and phenomenal. The steak was tender the chicken and pork were cooked perfectly the chirozo was one of the best I've tasted and the vegetables were so delicious. It was way too much to finish after our starter so they boxed it up for us putting the meats and vegetables all in different sections of the box. This restaurant went above and beyond and the food way exceeded my expectations.I live on the island and will definitely be returning often. I have been in the area for three days now and have drove all around. I've seen the tourist filled streets with shops and restaurants and the outskirts with the few sporadic eating places and souvenir stands. It is not always easy breaking the communication barrier either thus making decision making more difficult than indecisiveness. The Bar Brisa Mexicana is absolutely, positively the best place when you are looking for a variety of food, simple communication for those who find it difficult and often frustrating, amazing drinks, friendly staff not too overbearing when it comes to making you feel pressured or uncomfortable, and a cleanliness environment with delicious food. Don't think twice about giving the menu a glance in the front to make sure you won't be disappointed, they allow you to maintain the personal space some of us are used to and can't find every where on the island when seeing what it has to offer. That, combined with the food selection ranging from appetizers including both authentic Mexican and American options, food to match ranging from salads, pizzas, pastas, seafood, steaks, dinners for 2, etc. ALL AMAZINGLY PRICED! For the first time I feel like I'm being treated more like a person rather than another tourist who doesn't understand much. You won't regret stopping by to check out the food/drinks. No reason not to stay either!! Nothing but a full star review here. They even were so kind to professionally remove my kabobs from the stick as well once served to me. Such a rare form of professionalism and successful functionalities WITH AWESOME FOOD AND PRICES!

While the food is ok, the service is terrible which is unfortunate. Even though we repeated a few times our order in different ways, he misordered the food. While this is ok as mistakes happen, he tried to tell us that it was our fault, our order and tried to put this on our bill. We had to insist that he return it and that we wouldn’t pay and then he took the dish away. Also they only take cash, but this is mentioned nowhere on their menu, their site or by the waiter. Our bill was high so this would have been good to know in advance. I would recommend any other restaurant because while the food was ok, the service was lackluster/disappointing at best. I can only give 4 out of 5. We did not eat here. Our room wasn’t ready so we went for drinks to waste (not waste) time. The tequila options were massive! Too many to choose. We sat at the bar. Captains chairs. Indoor and outdoor seats. Looked good but we were happy with tequila. I would love to try the food!

We eat their your second night on Isla. Guacamole with shark fins. HaHa!!! Dan had a whole red snapper. I had a shrimp kebab. Very good!!
The food wasn't very good and they overcharged. $40 for 6 chicken tacos? Yikes! They also offer a horrible exchange rate here. So if you dare to eat here, exchange your money first.
This was the 1st restaurant of our week vacation and we came to realize that the food was pretty standard on the island. The service wasn't very prompt but served with a smile. There was plenty of food to choose from whether you were a meat eater or a vegetarian but plenty of seafood options... as an island should. The ambiance was fun but relaxed enough for kids as well. We were a party of 28, there were 11 kids. The restaurant wasn't as busy as all the other restaurants so it made it easy for all of us to squeeze in. The cocktails were very tasty and beer ice cold. Note that gratuity is included on all checks. This goes for all the restaurants on the island.
We were wondering where to eat and the owner came to us with no pressure, it was perfect. So kind, showed us this dish - mariscada - for one and told us that it would be enough for the two of us (it was! - and so good, perfectly seasoned). We also ordered camaron al coco and Two margaritas for the price of one. With the mariscada came a glass of red wine included. I only have good things to say about this place. It was not crowded, the owner is really attentious, the rest of the staff very kind and I'm glad we found this place on the only night we had to spend on the island. Greetings from Portugal and I wish all the best for brisa Mexicana.
