Food is very good. The habichuelas are delicious. They are freshly made, those who know can taste the difference. Most importantly, they are not expensive.

When I went there I was skipped over for someone else who came in after me and when I received the food, it was not what I expected. Was also charge $2 for two slices of tomato. Cuando fui, colaron a otra persona que vino despues sin razon o motivo y tambien nos cobraron $2 for dos rajas de tomate.

Went for the live music on Saturday nights. The service was friendly and good. As the name implies, chicken is the specialty and we tried the chicken chicharrones with tostones. But back to the music ... Performers were top notch artists from Puerto Rico's "jibaro" music that come together in an informal stage. Truly amazing. The restaurant has been around for a long time and has a vintage / historic vibe. Many historic pictures line the walls.

It’s not fancy at all it’s a small topical restaurante owed by the same owner for many yrs but they served the best shrimp soup with best modo go and fried red snapper and they close late at night food is Delicious
