4.4 | some of the best fish and chips I have had. We ordered the snapper special, was delicious! Fish was cooked perfectly and broke apart while having a great crunch to it. Chips were solid, added a bit of salt to make them pop a bit more (i think they are unsalted). Prices are fair for the quality you get. Absolutely would recommend a stop! Excellent - portions were larger than we expected so we ordered too much! Staff super busy but still helpful and patient. Scallops excellent, not overcooked. Kumera chips tasty. Good selection of fresh fish. Dogs n allowed outside seating area but not inside - fair enough. Fabulous tasting fish and chips on the wharf at Raglan. Looks to be straight off the boat ... straight into the fryer 🤩 There's a reasonable selection of freshly caught fish available for you to choose. We had trevally which was cooked in a nice, crispy beer batter. The chips were lovely with tons of salt on them. (you can order kumara (sweet potato) chips but they are not my thing) No vinegar (doesn't seem to be a thing in New Zealand) but slice of lemon did the job !!! Small area to eat in ... or take your meal to sit on the wharf. Order at the counter inside ... pick up from the window outside. All fish cooked to order. Walk up the ramp to the right of the building in the car park! Great hand cut chips. Crunchy, fresh and perfectly salted. Fish was not over battered either which was fresh and tasty. Grabbed some salmon steaks for dinner too, because why not! Great selection of things like raw fish, chowder, fish pies and more on the side of the takeaway section. Stoked as!! We will be back. Great fish n chips. Had snapper and Tarakihi with beer batter chips. Nice batter and good value. Came on a Wednesday so not too busy

The best fish and chips in New Zealand! Big portions for great value. Over and over again! I just love this place. It can get very busy during dinner time but its so worth the wait while soaking up the beautiful view. Sometimes you can catch them processing the fish that has been caught for the day.

Nice and efficient service, my order was delivered in 15min, perhaps because it was after 3pm. Wonderful view from inside and outside tables. The fish and chips were delicious, although fried, was not soggy at all. Both fish were tasty and crunchy. During the waiting time, the friendly staff offered some samples of fish and also wine! Will surely come back often this summer.

Great fish and chips! The best I’ve had outside of England 😋 Shared snapper ($8), beer battered chips ($4), fish cake ($3.50) and aioli ($1). Batter was great on everything, light and crispy; Snapper fillet was decent size and really tasty; perfect chips; and the fish cake tasted like it was made with smoked fish, I —a big fish eater— thought it was great, my partner —who is not— thought it was too fishy... if you like smoked fish, go for it. Worth the drive or walk out of town!
